I pulled up to the boarding house slowly. I didn't want to deal with this at eight in the morning, but my brothers insisted that I came over early. I grabbed my keys and got out of the car. Running a hand through my braided half-up hairdo, what wasn't up in the criss-cross braids was in curls. I twisted a curl as I cautiously walked up to the boarding house.
"Cleo? What are you doing here?" I heard from behind me. I turned around to see Elena standing a few feet away from me.
"Damon wanted to talk to me." I continued to the door after a sad smile. Elena let me in, I guess the house was under her name now.
    "Cleona-"
"Damon, I'm not in the mood to fight," I said softly.
"Then explain. How about that? Are you in the mood to do that?" I heard Stefan say from behind me.
"What, was your plan to corner me? Expose all my secrets? I have none, I've explained before. To be honest, I only came over here as a courtesy, I don't owe you anything." I crossed my arms, moving to sit on the couch so I could see both of them.
"Oh, please Cleona, we all know that even when you're pissed you still protect family." Damon exclaimed.
"Yeah, well when you learn how to treat me like family, then we'll see. The Mikaelsons have been my family since I ran. They are even more so since I married Klaus. And I come here and I'm treated like dirt, so tell me, who is my real family. Because I don't see any here other than Elijah and Nik." I ranted as I stood, I walked over to Damon who's stern look faltered but he regained his composure a few seconds later.
"They are trying to kill Elena. Do you not-"
"No Damon, I don't care. I am your family, your blood, and yet you continuously choose to disregard me whenever Elena is in trouble. I will not cause her any harm, but I will also not stand in the way of Nik, and if you were smart, you wouldn't either." With that, I started towards the door.
"Then I'm sorry." I turned around to ask him what he meant but Stefan had stuck a needle in my neck. I slowly fell to the floor as the vervain entered my system.
--
"Good, you're awake." I looked up from the floor at my brother who was standing on the other side of a metal door. I recognized this was the place that they had put Elijah.
"What the hell Damon!" I got up slowly as the vervain still weaken me. "I was leaving in peace."
"You're going to stay here until you come to your senses about the Mikaelsons." I rolled my eyes and reached for my phone in my back pocket only to find it wasn't there.
"Did you seriously take my phone?" I moved toward the door. "Either let me out or give me my phone. I'm not just staying in here with my two backstabbing brothers as my only company." He reluctantly complied.
"If you so much as send a text to Klaus, you will have one hell of a time trying to get out of here." I rolled my eyes and went to sit at the back wall.
"Don't worry, Nik wasn't even on my mind." I fibbed, though I wasn't planning on contacting him just yet.
"Damon, come up here." I heard Stefan yell, Damon said a quick bye before speeding up the steps.
Help, my brother locked me in the cellar at the boarding house.
    What?
They stuck me with vervain and locked me in the cellar. Please come help, they trust you more than they trust me.
Okay, I'll be there as soon as I can, just hold on.
I sighed as I set my phone down. Now I just had to wait for Elijah to come to the rescue.

As promised, it's the end of the summer and I'm feeling much better. So while updates may be a but slow as things are changing, but updates are coming I promise. Thanks for those who have been patient I appreciate it. ~Kat <3
