I sat on my bed thinking over last night. I had allowed Klaus to comfort me, after I had spent years running from him for what he had done to his siblings, I just fell apart in his arms. I eventually got up and headed over to the boarding house to see what was going on since I left the dance. As I entered I heard Stefan on the phone.
"Where's Elijah?" He asked. My interest was immediately peaked and I listened to the other side of the phone conversation.
"He's right here." I recognized Elena's voice.
"Where? I'm on my way." He started towards the door and saw me.
"No, Stefan. Me and Elijah need some time alone."
"Listen to me." He said, not breaking eye contact with me. "He can't be trusted. He'll use you to get to Klaus." I scoffed and started to turn to walk right back out the door before Damon came to stand in front of me.
"Elijah is a nobleman Stefan. He lives by a code of honor. I can trust him." Damon pointed to the living room and to the couch for me to sit. I crossed my arms, listening to the rest of the conversation before Elena hung up.
"Did she just hang up on you?" Damon asked not turning to look at Stefan.
"Yep." Stefan pulled the phone away from his ear, his attention turning back to me.
"She's lost it." Damon shook his head as he guided me over to the couch, I reluctantly let him.
"Not as much as our dear sister has." Stefan crossed his arms as I sat on the couch, both of my brothers came to stand in front of me.
"Let me go find Elijah." I said, coldly.
"Not until you tell us why he means so much to you," Damon replied stepping over to pour himself a bourbon.
"Why does it matter? Can I not care about people?" I asked mirroring Stefan's demeanor and crossing my hands.
"Never said you couldn't. But you seem to be particularly fond of Elijah." Stefan replied, glancing at Damon as he came back to stand in front of the couch.
"Fine, you want the truth?" I asked them, extremely annoyed. They nodded so I proceeded. "He's my brother-in-law. When I had to run from our father, the Mikaelsons took me in. I was turned nearly two weeks after I was married," I paused, "to Klaus." My brothers looked at me like I was the most unusual supernatural creature that ever lived. "I'm," I cleared my throat, "I was, married to Klaus. Technically still am. I ran with Elijah when he daggered Rebekah. Elijah is the one who found me, took care of me, and told me that you both were alive." I got up from the couch and started towards the door, as my brothers were now in shock. I sighed and left, getting in my car and calling Elijah.
"Hello, Little Dove." Elijah greeted me.
"Lijah, it's so good to hear your voice." I sighed as I headed down the road.
"Cleona, I'm sure you know that I'm-"
"Yeah, I know. But I really need to see you, and I know that Stefan is worried about Elena."
"Elena is leaving now, did you want to meet up and talk before she comes back?" He asked, concern filling his voice.
"Just tell me where," I replied, tears threatening to fall.
Sorry it's so short, I felt that this was a good place to leave the chapter. What do you think?
Also sorry for the delay, I thought it published but considering I just got back from Disney, I've been so scatterbrained catching up with school work, so I apologize. But I also started working on a new story, no ideas for the title yet so it probably won't be posted for another month...
BUT I think I have enough chapters for this, to be able to publish a new chapter every week or so..so we'll see how that goes. Ok, I'm done now XD
Bye <3
