"My girl is dead," Rebekah whined looking over to me. "I'm bored."

"Mine has been dead," I added, I looked over to Nik and my brother as the sound of a body hitting the concrete filled my ears. I decided to take a quick glance around, outside of the alley, leaving the bickering siblings and my own deceiving one to talk. I felt a hand fall lightly on my waist and spin me around before I came face to face with someone I had never expected or wanted to see again.

"Well, hello," He said, whispering close to my face before I pushed him away.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest and rolling my eyes. He took a step back to steady himself before he fixed his dusty blonde hair, pushing it back, away from his eyes.

"Aren't you glad to see me? Dear sweet Cleo, you left me, what sixty years now?" He stepped forward, lightly sweeping his hand over my face. I grabbed his wrist and glared at him.

"Don't touch me, Luke. That is unless you have a death wish." He held his hands up in mock surrender, before coming even closer.

"You should know better, Cleo. What happens when you don't have your Nik around to protect you?" I could feel his hot breath on my skin as I screwed my eyes tight. Not even a second later I felt arms around my waist and I flinched, my eyes opening wide. Instead of letting go he pulled me closer and I could hear his voice now.

"You alright, love?" I let out a relieved sigh as I turned to face him.

"Better now," I smirked, trying to regain my shaken composure. I don't know how it was possible for Luke to have been here, but that didn't matter much now. "Are we heading back to Gloria's now?"

"Soon, for now, why don't you just stay with Rebekah? I'll go check and see if there's been any progress and you guys wait for Stefan." I nodded slightly, a gentle smile filled his face, his eyes filled with contentment, or so I thought.

"We'll meet up later, yeah?" I asked, although I already knew what his response would be. It was a peaceful moment, and somehow the streets were silent, I guess that should have been my first clue.

"You're back," Rebekah smiled, I turned to see Stefan walking towards us.

"Finally," I muttered, rolling my eyes as he came to a stop in front of us. We had gone back to the warehouse to wait and to be honest we were getting quite bored before Stefan showed up.

"Nik went to go check on the witch," Rebekah said, smiling slightly, I rolled my eyes and went back to looking at all the coffins.

"Dreary isn't it?" I heard Rebekah say, I looked up to find that Stefan was looking at the surrounding coffins as well, not that he actually knew them. Hell, I barely knew Kol, and I never even met Finn. "The family cargo." Stefan hmed in response as I approached Elijah's coffin.

"Why don't you undagger them?" He asked, his fingers lightly on the lid of Kol's coffin.

"Because he would hunt me down and kill me. He's a vindictive little bastard, my brother." I smirked at that but kept out of the conversation, moving to sit on a steel cart, the cold metal against my legs, skinny jeans aren't the best at keeping out the cold.

"And yet you still care about him. Why?" Stefan asked, I furrowed my brows in amusement, pulling out my phone to try and distract myself, but I was quite curious as to how Rebekah would answer.

"Well, I hated him for a long time," she let out a sigh, "it was exhausting."

"You know when I met you, you were all on the run," Stefan noted, looking between me and Bekah.

"Also exhausting," I chimed in, not looking up from my phone.

"Who were you running from?" The words seemed to fall out so easily, as if he had constructed this whole conversation.

"What do you mean?" I asked, hopping off the cart and walking over to rejoin the two.

"Last night I saw you, there was a man looking for you." I glanced to Rebekah nervously, what was he planning. "You seemed afraid, all of you. I just wouldn't think Klaus was afraid of anyone."

"No one in this world is truly fearless, Stefan," I said, leaning against Rebekah.

"Not even Niklaus," She added, glancing at me with a short smile.

"Who was that man?" Stefan pressed on, I pursed my lips as Rebekah shook her head.

"I can't," She said, Stefan took a step closer pressing for information.

"Please," he whispered, he was maybe a foot away from both of us at this point.

"If Nik knew that we were even talking about this, he would-" I was cut off by Stefan shaking his head.

"No, no, no, sorry forget I asked." I rolled my eyes and stepped away, walking back to Elijah's coffin. I ignored the two talking until I heard them mention Damon.

"I think he secretly admires that about you," Rebekah said, "he'd sacrifice anything for family. Don't tell him I told you that though." I scoffed, causing both of them to look at me.

"Yeah, that's Stefan alright." I leaned on Elijah's coffin before pushing myself off and taking a step forward. "Willing to sacrifice himself for family, how noble." I slung my arm around my brother as I looked at Rebekah. "I bet Nik didn't tell you that he, and Damon, locked me in a cellar because their precious Elena was at risk, because I, their sister, couldn't be trusted around her. Since I wanted to save Elijah, who was daggered, I might add." I watched as Stefan's face morphed into one of guilt and I dropped my arm.

"Gloria's gone," Nik stormed into the warehouse, I could tell he was beyond pissed, though that was a minor observation, as anyone would have been able to tell that. "She's cleared out, we need to find a new witch immediately." He saw Rebekah's face, I assume she was partly shocked over what I'd told her and Stefan's behavior in general. "What's going on here?"

"He's asking about Mikael," I said quietly walking over to him.

"He's not with us Nik, I can sense it," Rebekah added softly. Nik looked to me and I nodded slightly.

"They're wrong." I deadpanned and turned to look at Stefan. Before anyone got another word out, Stefan's neck was snapped and Nik was standing over his limp body.

"I think it's time we take a trip." I smiled at Nik as Rebekah nodded, with Nik's hint I could take a guess at where we were going.
