"How about this one Bex?" I held up a navy blue dress to my chest.

"I love it," she replied, glancing quickly over her shoulder.

"Yeah, but what would I even wear it to?" I muttered, turning to look in the mirror. It was a stunning crushed velvet, long sleeved, cold shoulder dress that would fall just below my mid thigh.

"Who cares, if you like it get it, we aren't hurt for space." She teased, walking up with her latest pick, a yellow dress with several ruffles around the skirt. It had a bedazzled sweetheart neckline and the skirt grazed the floor.

"Bex, that dress would look amazing on you," I said, turning to face her. The shade of yellow complimented her sun-kissed skin in a way very few could pull off. She just smiled at me in response, looking into the mirror as she held it up against her. "Go try it on!" I ushered her towards the changing rooms.

"Only if you try one that one," I rolled my eyes but nodded and continued shooing her into one of the curtains.

When we both stepped out our reactions were mirrored. She looked drop-dead gorgeous. "Wow," we both said before breaking out in laughter.

"We have to get these," she nodded.

"Nik would die if you wore that," we were both silent before bursting out in more laughter.

"Well I guess that settles that." I went to step back behind the curtain but was stopped by Rebekah. I furrowed my brows in confusion as she smiled at me.

"Wear it home," I contemplated for a moment before breaking out in a smile of my own.

"But we were going to stop by the Grill?" I could have sworn I saw a flash of mischievousness flash in her eyes.

"I know," she responded lightly, turning around and stepping behind the curtain. "Leave it on," she added before snapping the curtain shut. I heard her curse under her breath a few seconds later.

"Something wrong, Bex?" I asked and chuckled as she poked her head out from behind the curtain.

"Help me with the zipper, blasted thing is stuck." I laughed as she glared at me but motioned for her to turn.

We walked into the Mystic Grill, shopping bags in hand. I noticed several heads turn to look at me but my eyes were on the bar, where I saw Kol and Klaus sitting and chatting with Caroline.

"Oh hell no," I muttered as I handed Bex my bags.

"Cleo, she's harmless, annoying, but harmless." She sighed as I fixed up my hair and started walking up to the bar.

"Hello, my love," I gently pushed past Caroline, "Oh I'm sorry hun, were you talking?" I looked at her for a brief moment before turning back to face Nik with raised eyebrows. His reaction was exactly as me and Rebekah had joked about, he couldn't take his eyes off me. Kol nudged him, which seemed to bring Nik back from the trance.

"You look," he paused and I took the moment to do a turn.

"Rebekah said I should leave it on," I smiled softly. The smile fell when I heard a scoff behind me and footsteps walking away. I ran my tongue over my teeth and waited for her to pass Rebekah out the door before following. I knew Nik was hot on my heels but I was determined to tell Caroline off.

"Cleo," Rebekah whispered as I passed, I just held up a hand in response.

"You need to stay away from my husband." I said once I caught up with Caroline outside.

"Oh please," she started, but I held up my hand to cut her off.

"I mean it, off limits. Or I'm going to go to my brothers and retract my 'peace treaty', understood?" She huffed and crossed her arms. I felt Nik lay a hand on my shoulder, in an attempt to calm me but I was hardly paying attention. My glare eventually wore her down and she nodded, appropriately looking scared.

"Angel, let's go." Nik's hand drifted down my arm and he interlocked my hand with his.

"Tell my brothers I'll be paying them a visit." I smiled briefly before I turned and started walking away, pulling Nik along with me. I heard him and Bekah chuckling as we walked and I stopped, turning to look at him. "That goes for you as well, Nik. Stay away from her, I don't like the way she looks at you, even if she doesn't admit it herself." He smiled gently down at me and brought his free hand up to my cheek.

"Of course, Angel. You know I only have eyes for you." He teased, obviously enjoying my, mild, jealousy.

I'm so sorry this took so long for a short chapter, I really struggled with making this one, I actually wrote up 3 different drafts in the process. But, I hope you enjoyed it! Hopefully new chapters will be out more reliably (and with quality)  now that my schedule will  be evening out, but I do have to adjust to a new job and there's a lot to learn, so please bear with me! Hope you have a wonderful day/night! ~Kat <3
