I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing, I groaned as I reached over and picked it up, unplugging it from the charger.
"Yes?" I asked, not caring to hide the amount of annoyance in my voice.
"Can I make up for the other night?" I heard Damon's voice, he sounded sincere but I didn't know how long that was going to last.
"Why? So you can have a clear conscience? I don't think so. The Mikaelsons have been more of a family to me than you and Stefan have been. I think I'll stay with them." My voice was dripping poison, and I knew it, but after all of it two days ago, I was done playing the sweet innocent princess I used to be. "How did it all go? With my husband." I exaggerated the last words.
"Well, unfortunately, Elijah got sidetracked by a lie." I scoffed.
"What would that lie be exactly?" I sat ups slowly, knowing this meant Nik wasn't dead.
"Well Klaus told him his family was still alive, and blah blah blah, it was a whole ordeal, Stefan nearly died." I rolled my eyes at his appeal for sympathy.
"Well, it wasn't a lie, in a sense. How's the bite anyways? I heard Lockwood nipped you." I smirked.
"Is that concern?" He sounded like he was going to laugh, but also surprised.
"No, just curious what's happening now that the curse is broken." I twirled a few strands of hair between my fingers.
"Well, I'm content with my fate." I raised my eyebrows not believing a word he said.
"Very well. Goodbye Damon." I hung up and looked at my contacts. I hovered over Elijah's name for a few seconds before clicking. It rang once...twice...click.
"Hello, Little Dove. Is something wrong?" I smiled at his voice.
"No, I- I was just curious as to where you and Nik were." I let out a shaky breath, the talk with my brother had affected my only slightly more than I cared to admit.
"Yes, well Nik is here, he's been a wolf for nearly two days so unable to answer his phone." I heard clothes rustling. "Would you like to speak to him?"
"Well, yes, but in person. Is there a place I could meet up with the both of you?" I asked, putting my phone on speaker and walking over to my suitcase, pulling out an off the shoulder black wrapped crop-top that has little rose designs various places spread out. I then got out a pair of black colored skinny jeans and began to get dressed.
"Yes, we are going to head back to Alaric's apartment." I heard Nik's voice in the background.
"I'll meet you there. Bye 'Lijah, Nik." With that picked up my phone, hung up and grabbed my keys before leaving.

I pulled up to the apartment building and parked my car. I saw movement in Alaric's window and sped up to the door. After opening the door I just stood and looked at the scene with raised eyebrows. Katherine had Stefan against the wall with her hand over his mouth to keep him quiet. I rolled my eyes and spun around to see Nik behind me with Elijah.
"What is going on here?" Nik asked walking into the apartment, Elijah and I following after him. Katherine stepped out and made a big show about Stefan showing up. "You just keep popping up, don't you?"
"I need your help." He looked from Nik to me and back again. "For my brother." I dropped my gaze to the floor and moved up to stand beside Nik, he turned to me with a sad smile.
"Yes, well I have to follow through on a promise to my own brother. I do apologize Angel, but soon it shall be resolved." I looked at Nik with a raised eyebrow. He sadly smirked as he daggered Elijah. My eyes widen as I saw Elijah's fair skin turn grey as he desiccated.
