I had seen him again, it doesn't make any sense, how could Luke be appearing and disappearing like that? He's dead, he can't be here, it should be impossible, it is impossible. I couldn't tell Nik either way, that was asking for more trouble than it was worth. I heard a door open and shut, my eyes immediately snapped open at the loud sound. I looked around to see we were pulled to a stop on the side of the road, one I knew all too well.

"Good morning, love," I let my head lean against his warm torso as he laid a hand on my hair. "How'd you sleep?"

"Peacefully, thank goodness." A yawn escaped my lips as I unbuckled my seatbelt. "Why'd we come back here Nik?" I asked softly, my curiosity getting the better of me. Instead of a response, he rustled my hair, something that he did as a way of saying I shouldn't worry about it. A smile was all that I gave in return before moving his hand off my hair to fix it.

"What on the agenda today my love?" I asked hopping out of the car. I blocked the bright sun with my hand as I attempted to look up at him.

"For you? Nothing, you just relax and try to enjoy today. I have a few things to take care of and then I'm all yours." His smile brought one to my face as well, I nodded softly before squeezing his arm and walking away. I knew exactly where my first stop would be.

I stepped into the large house with a sinister grin plastered on my face. I let my fingers trace over the texture of the walls as I made my way into the living room.

"Well, well, look what the cat dragged in." I turned around to see the one and only Damon Salvatore, standing behind me.

"Hello Damon," I spat, crossing my arms as I looked at him. "Seems like Katherine followed through, now didn't she?" My attention was averted by a heavily beating heart. "I know you're there Elena, you'd do best to not treat me as if I were stupid." Not even a few moments later Elena stepped out from around the corner, Damon's cool composure immediately dropping.

"What are you doing?" He hissed at her, she shrugged before responding.

"She already knew I was there, you heard her," I smirked, the girl actually had some brains.

"She's right Damon, I found out in Chicago. I knew Stefan was hiding something, but Nik won't be too happy to find out she's still alive." I plopped onto the couch letting my feet fall onto the soft fabric.

"Klaus isn't supposed to even be back, or you for that matter," I let out a chuckle.

"Supposed to? Do you really think that Nik and I would actually listen to you of all people? He's over a thousand years old, Damon, it should be you that is listening to him." He pushed my feet off the couch and so I sat up.

"Why are you so obsessed with him?" He asked shaking his head.

"I would definitely not call it obsessed, but to answer your question, we were married for nearly a century before I left." He sat down next to me, I shifted to face him but didn't move back any.

"And what about us? Your brothers, your family?" I shook my head, blinking back tears that I'd buried last time I was here.

"What about you? You locked me in a cellar, trying to keep me away from Nik, which only pushed me closer. You can't control my life, I may be your little sister, but I had to grow up quick once I left, you know that." I took a deep breath before standing, shaking off the moment before. "Anyways, I wanted to stop by and see the place one last time, it was good to see you, Elena. Your secret is safe with me," I looked between the two, "for now."

With that, I walked out of the boarding house and started to walk down the road back into town. I looked to my left and saw a small rabbit staring at me, I shoved my hands in my pockets and took a few steps closer, I moved quickly to pick it up and simply held it in my hands before I heard a voice behind me.

"It's tiny, and fragile, just like you." I quickly turned around and saw no one behind me. The rabbit hopped out of my hands and into the safety of the bushes. I let out a few breaths before I felt a hand at my throat. "Don't forget that."

"Stop it!" I screamed, my eyes were screwed tight until the hand had let go. I slowly let my eyes open and I looked around, searching for the culprit, one I knew wasn't going to be there. I put a hand to my head as I felt a searing pain shoot through my temple, I fell to the ground, a few tears falling from my eyes.

"What are you doing back here?" I looked up as the pain eased and saw Bonnie standing a few feet away.

"I don't know, Nik decided we should stop in so, here we are." I rolled my eyes as I motioned to the area around us. "Now if you'll excuse me I have a sister to babysit." I sped off into town, stopping just on the outskirts. I slowly walked into town as if I were just on a casual stroll and looked around the stores. I smiled at a few of the clothing stores, there were girls trying on dresses and showing them off to their friends.

I decided to go to the high school and see if I could find Rebekah. Sure enough, she was in the grass showing off her flexibility. I shook my head as I walked up to her and clapped as she did a flip into a split.

"Bex," I crossed my arms behind my back, "whatcha up to?"

"Cheerleading," she didn't even look at me, instead stretching more on the grass.

"Do you know where Nik went?" I asked, joining her on the grass and stretching, my mid-thigh length shorts and tight t-shirt adjusting to me sitting.

"I don't know, probably plotting in a dark corner." She finally looked up to meet my gaze. "Listen, Cleo, I'm not keeping a close eye on him, we're in Mystic Falls, and he's obviously got a reason."

"Where'd my brother go then?" She shrugged in response. I decided to give up and get a bite to eat, there had to be someone in town. On my way through town, I saw the sheriff. "I believe you know my brothers." I was pleased with her surprised reaction as she spun around quickly.

"I'm sorry, do I know you?" I shook my head but held out my hand.

"Cleona Salvatore, but my friends call me Cleo." Her brows furrowed in confusion. "Yes, Salvatore, as in Stefan and Damon? You know I think Damon is on the council actually. I'm his younger sister. It's a pleasure to meet you, finally." I shook her hand before crossing my wrists behind my back again.

"So you're a-" I nodded with a bright smile.

"Yes, I was actually turned before either of my brothers, but that's beside the point. I'm actually not here for my brothers, you see I'm here with my husband." My smile dimmed a slight bit. "I was just hoping that you could give my brothers a message for me, we aren't exactly on speaking terms right now." Her face deadpanned and she took a step back. "Oh, don't worry it's not that gloomy, and it's actually to protect Elena. Can you just let them know that my Nik is going to find out if she keeps going into town, if they don't want to end up dead, they should probably keep her away from all that? Can you get the message to them?"

"Uh, sure." My smile grew bigger as I let out a sigh.

"Thanks, sheriff. Have a good day!" I turned on my heel and walked away, a bounce in my step until I bumped into someone.

Ok It's two days late, but I also had to upload three chapters. The schedule isn't changing, but I'm starting up musical practice so I might be late every now and then, but I'll do my best. Hope you all have a wonderful day <3 ~Kat
