KO, Y/n and Enid sat in silence while Rad voiced the faces he drew on his arms. He never realized Mr. Gar was right next to him under the floor tile.

"Rad, you slacker!" He popped out from under it, scaring Rad. His foot came out another time with a box. "Unpack that box!"

Rad quickly grabbed it and opened it, only to see Mr. Gar dressed up as an old lady. He threw cans of food towards Enid, who quickly scanned and bagged them.

"Can I pay with pay check? I also have a coupon. Hurry! I've gotta get home to my cat!" He rushed her. "Don't disappoint me."

Enid gasped and clenched her teeth. She furrowed her eyebrows in determination. She grabbed both the things he offered, and kicked the bag to him.

"Someone walk me to my car. KO and Y/n! Hurry!" He ordered. The two jumped up and ran over to him. "Don't disappoint me, now." He glared.

"Yes, sir, Mr. Old lady, sir!" KO said as he grabbed Mr. Gar's arm. "C'mon, Y/n."

The two led him outside, and helped him into his car. They walked back inside. KO huffed.

"Did it go well?" Enid asked.

"I think it did. But Y/n's always the right one. Ask her." KO said. Y/n shrugged.

"Meh. It was fine." She said, clearly not worried like the others.

Suddenly, a car crashes through the doors, knocking KO down. Y/n grabbed his hand and lifted him back up.

"Good work with operation old lady! And Y/n..." He turned to her. "Good work on staying calm. That's going to be useful for future scenarios." He said.  A watch on his wrist suddenly started beeping. "Oh, it's time for my super top secret mission. I'll leave you four in charge of the store while I'm gone. Don't go in my office!" He said as he drove away. He backed up into the door again. "And don't disappoint me." With that, he drove away.

"We should definitely not go into Mr. Gar's office." KO said.

"After that whole spiel? No way." Enid said. They sat in silence for a moment before Y/n said,

"You guys are gonna go in there, aren't you?" She asked.

"Yep." Rad said.

"Probably." Enid agreed. Y/n sighed.

"He told us not to go in there for a reason." She said.

"Yeah! Maybe he wants us to go in there for training or something like that!" KO said.

"That's not what I meant." Y/n sighed.

"C'mon, Y/n! Maybe if we knew him better, we could do our job better! We could even make him proud!" KO said.

"Nope. Not going in there. And you three shouldn't either." Y/n said as she sat down on a box. "I'm 6-11 years old and I have more common sense than you two." Y/n said to Enid and Rad.

"You lose those as you get older." Rad said.

"Since Mr. Gar's out doing stuff, it couldn't hurt to take a peek, right?" Enid said.

"We should do it! C'mon, Y/n!" KO said as the three made their way towards his office. Y/n groaned and stood up.

"Fine, but if we get caught, I'm not gonna try and protect you guys." Y/n said.

They walked up to the door to his office. Rad grabbed the doorknob and slowly twisted it. He quickly opened the door and screamed.

"Why'd you scream?" Enid asked.

"I was expecting something scary, but..." Rad stepped inside the small room. It only had a desk and a chair. Nothing else. "It's pretty much--" He was cut off as the floor under him disappeared and he fell.

"Rad!" Enid reached down for him, unable to reach.

"I'm fine. It's not that far." Rad said. Enid shrugged and jumped down, KO grabbing Y/n's arm and following.

"Woah..." Rad muttered as they looked around the large room. There were screens everywhere, and they all showed different places around the store. There were papers and pictures scattered on the table.

"Look! There's a picture of Mr. Gar with the president of the universe! And there's a picture of him fighting Lord Boxman! And there's-- wait." He stopped at one picture of a lady. The others looked.

"Woah, who's the babe?" Enid asked.

"That's my mom." KO deadpanned. Enid and Rad laughed nervously. "Why would Mr. Gar have a picture of young mom?"

"Maybe because they're, oh, I don't know, friends?" Y/n said. KO picked up the picture.

"Maybe he just has a thing for vintage beauty." Rad said.

"Whoops. Forgot my car keys." Mr. Gar's voice could be heard over the monitor. KO, Enid and Rad gasped.

"It's Mr. Gar!" Enid exclaimed.

"Told you we would get caught." Y/n said.

"Oh, what are we gonna do?" KO mumbled. The sweat built up on his hands caused him to drop the photo. Enid caught it, and tossed it to Rad.

"I'll catch it with my freeze finger!" He said as he shot his ray at it. It suddenly exploded. "Oh, my bad." He said as he looked at his labled fingers.

"Rad, you clown! Now he's seriously going to be disappointed!" Enid panicked.

"Hey, we all committed this trespassing crime together! Don't go accusing me anything!" Rad said. Enid groaned.

"True. What are we gonna do?!" She exclaimed as the two panicked.

"Why don't you just confront him? He's not going to kill you." Y/n said. Enid gasped. She grabbed Y/n's shoulders.

"Mr. Gar could do anything to us. He could bury us alive for all we know!" Enid said. Y/n scoffed.

"He's not gonna do that." She said. Enid ignored her and looked at the others.

"Just imagine what he's going to do..." Enid said.

As the three imagined the scenarios, Y/n impatiently tapped her foot against the ground. She didn't want to leave KO to deal with this, but it was his problem. Not her's. But then again, they do share problems.

"Ok, calm down. Look, KO and I will just go see Carol and ask for a copy of it. You two can go distract Mr. Gar." Y/n said.

"Good idea. C'mon, Rad!" Enid said as she led him out.

"Y/n, you come with me." KO grabbed her hand and led her into the vents, off to find Carol.

I feel like Y/n isn't in this enough. And it's a book about them.
