Chapter Twenty One

Dang you guys the reads shot up while I was gone!

KO looked at the ground as he waited for Y/n. He was nervous, and unsure of what was going to happen. How did Y/n feel about this? Was she nervous, too?

KO suddenly heard his bedroom door open, and Y/n stepped out. She looked normal.

"I'm ready." She mumbled. KO nodded and led her to the door.

"Mommy, we're leaving!" KO said to his mother. Carol turned to them and smiled, waving goodbye.

"Bye! You two have fun!" Carol said. KO waved goodbye, and stepped outside.

They felt a cool breeze blowing, sending shivers down them. They stepped onto the grass, and began walking.

"How come we're going so late?" Y/n asked.

"Rad suggested we go at night so that we would be all alone, nobody to bother us." KO answered. Y/n nodded.

There was an awkward silence. It was killing Y/n. All she wanted to do was have some fun, but the two were so nervous that they could barely talk to each other.

Y/n suddenly heard KO's teeth chattering. She looked over at him and noticed he was cold.

"You cold?" She smiled slightly at him. He turned to him and chuckled nervously.

"I forgot to bring a coat." He said. Y/n laughed a bit.

"That's okay. Here." She pulled off her hoodie and handed it to KO.

"What about you?" He asked as he took it.

"I'll be fine. I'm used to this." She said. KO nodded and slipped the hoodie on.

"Wow, I see why you like this. It's so comfy." KO said. Y/n laughed as she pushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Heh. Thanks." She said. KO looked ahead and noticed some lights.

"Look! There's the arcade!" He said. He grabbed Y/n's hand and ran towards the building.

They made it to the front doors. The lights inside were glowing bright, machines still running.

"Hey, love birds." A familiar voice said. They turned and saw Rad. "My friend owns the place, so I convinced him to let you two stay after hours for a while. You guys don't get funky in there, though."

"Ew. You're disgusting. We're 6-11, Rad." Y/n said as she walked inside.

"What's he talking about?" KO asked as he followed in. Y/n ignored him and looked around. KO gasped.

"So many lights! It's amazing!" KO said.

"KO, we've been here before." Y/n said.

"It's different when it's night. C'mon!" KO said as he pulled Y/n to a machine. He inserted a techno, and the machine whirred to life. He sat in the seat and grabbed a steering wheel. "Race with me, Y/n!"

"Okay, I'll play with you." Y/n laughed as she sat down in another chair. The game started, and they began driving.

"Aw, you got the faster car." KO pouted.

"Guess that means I'm gonna win!" Y/n said. She drove over the finish line. "Haha! I'm the best at videos game!"

"We only played one game!" KO smiled.

"One's all I need to know I'm the best." Y/n said.

"Let's see if you're any good at these kinds of games." KO said as he pulled her over to a pinball machine.
