"I think that ought to do it..." Rad said as he placed the last flyer up. KO and Y/n approached him.

"Watcha doing, Rad?" KO asked.

"Putting up some flyers." Rad said. KO looked at one, attempting to read it.

"Proom? What's that?" KO asked.

"Prom, KO." Y/n corrected.

"I'm hosting the best party ever. I'm calling it the Plaza Prom." Rad said.

"What's a host?" KO asked.

"Oh, it's like the hero of the party or whatever." Rad said.

"Not really... They're just the people who are throwing the party..." Y/n said.

"Hero?!" KO gasped, ignoring Y/n. "Can I go?! Can I go?! Can I go?!" He annoyed Rad with his questions.

"Hold on, KO. Can you be cool?" Rad asked. KO nodded. "Good. I'm gonna invite all the cool kids, and then they'll think I'm so cool that it'll be rad." He smirked at his little joke.

"But Rad, you already are cool." KO said.

"Psh, obviously. But... Other don't really... Know that yet..." He said. "KO, you have to be cool. My reputation is on the line!" Rad said. KO started laughing.

"I can be cool!" He said.

"Good. You can be my helper." Rad said as he placed a bow on KO. He then handed him a stack of papers. "Now go put the rest of these up. Oh, and Y/n, you can be my other helper."

"C'mon, Y/n!" KO said as he began running down the sidewalk, dragging Y/n with him.

As they were running, KO ran into someone and dropped the flyers. He looked up and saw his mom.

"Hey, KO! Watcha doing?" She asked. She grabbed a flyer. "Oh, you kids are having a prom, eh? That's nice!"

"Yep! We get to put up the flyers!" KO said.

"So who's the lucky girl taking you?" Carol asked. KO raised an eyebrow. Carol gasped. "Wait. Is it Y/n?"

"What?" Y/n furrowed her eyebrows. Carol smiled and hugged the two.

"Oh, I knew you two would end up together some day! I'm so happy!" Even said as she squeezed them.

"Mommy, I'm not even sure if we're invited." KO said. Carol dropped them.

"What? Why not?" She asked.

"Well, we're technically not guests but... I guess we could go together." KO said.

"Good. I'm so happy to see you two are finally together. I always knew you would get together, it was just a matter of time." Carol said as she began walking away.

"Um, we're not together." Y/n said.

"I'll see you at home, you two love birds!" Carol waved goodbye as she walked away.

KO stood up and helped Y/n up. He chuckled slightly, rubbing the back of his head.

"So, I guess now we're going together, huh?" KO said. Y/n got a smug smirk.

"Actually, I was going with someone else." She said. KO's eyes widened.

"What?! Who?!" He exclaimed.

"I just so happened to be going with Dendy. Guess you'll just have to find someone else." Y/n smirked widely.

"When did you ask Dendy?! We Just found out about it a couple minutes ago!" KO said.

"Calm down, I'm just kidding." Y/n laughed. KO raised an eyebrow.

"Just kidding? Oh, I thought you actually meant it." He let out a sigh of relief.

"Did you want to go with me?" Y/n asked, her smirk growing if possible. KO blushed.

"W-Well yeah. We do everything together, don't we?" He asked. Y/n sighed.

"I suppose it wouldn't make sense if we didn't." She smiled softly at him, linking her arm with his. "Let's go hang up the rest of these." She said. KO smiled and nodded, and they gathered up the papers, off to finish up their job.

Later, they found Rad behind the store, finishing up talking with some teenagers. He turned to them.

"KO, Y/n, I need you to get Enid and meet me by my van in ten minutes." Rad said.

"Right! C'mon, Y/n!" KO said as he held her hand and dragged her away.

They brought Enid outside, and met Rad at his van. Enid sighed and looked down, clearly bored.

"The cool kids are a solid maybe. And we have a lot to get done before prom. KO, I have something special for you." Rad said as he opened the back of his van. There was a chest on the floorboard. He opened it and pulled out a golden scroll. "This scroll was handed down to me by my cousin's friend. It tells you how to throw the best parties." He said as he handed it to KO. Rad turned to Enid. She was kicking the van. "Enid." He called. She didn't look. "Enid." He repeated. Still no answer. He sighed. "DJ Fireball."

She smiled and looked up at him. "Yeah?"

"Do you have the playlist ready?" Rad asked. She nodded and handed him her phone.

"I'm actually pretty proud of it." Enid said. Rad scrolled through it and groaned.

"Enid, I don't know any of these bands!" He said.

"So?" Enid raised an eyebrow.

"So you can't play them! They have to be something popular, something everybody knows." Rad said. Enid groaned. "Please, Enid?" He begged. She sighed.

"Fine." She said.

"Great! With you two helping me and going along with the scroll, this is gonna be the best prom ever!" Rad said.

"What about Y/n?" KO asked. Rad turned to the said child, who had been quiet the whole time.

"Oh yeah, Y/n. I forgot about you. Uh..." He thought about a job to give her.

"I don't need to help. You guys got it." She said. Rad shrugged.

"If you say so. Oh, but, uh, wear something formal. Not just that hoodie you always wear." Rad said, gesturing to the f/c hoodie she always wore. She sighed.

"Fine." She grumbled. "I'll see you tonight, KO. Bye." Y/n waved as she walked away, going to get ready.

"Aw, are you two going together?" Enid asked as she ruffled KO's hair.

"Yep." KO answered, watching Y/n leave.

Maybe he did like Y/n like everyone thought he did.
