Chapter Twenty Five

So I have an ending for this story. Not sure how long it will be before I get to it. But HOLY COW did it take a dark turn. You'll understand soon. Also, like the new cover? I may have to change it again because I've been thinking of changing the name and description as well.

The next day of work went fine. No attacks, few customers. Everything was quiet. But that was because everyone stayed home to recover from the big attack from yesterday.

Y/n never said anything about Boxman, or about Y/t/n and how she was going to reveal a secret power move. She didn't say anything about that day. In fact, she was oddly quiet, deep in thought.

"Y/n? You okay?" KO asked. She jumped, startled. She turned to him and smiled.

"Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be?" She asked. Her voice seemed quieter.

"I just... Figured you'd be kind of happy. You found your dad, and I thought that you'd be talking about him and how you finally have a parent." KO said. Y/n shrugged.

"I am happy. I'm just... Thinking..." She said. KO sat down next to her.

"About what?" He asked.

"About... My mom... It's all her fault I didn't have parents growing up. All because she wanted to be some big villain and take over everything. Maybe she's even the one who gave me Y/t/n. Maybe it's all her fault the first part of my life was so terrible." Y/n said.

"But Boxman did say that she wanted to come and get you again, right?" KO said. Y/n sighed.

"He did... Maybe she does love me..." She smiled at him.

"Ha! Please! Love a nuisance like you? I'm surprised KO even bothers to stay with you."

"Be quiet!" Y/n hissed under her breath. KO raised an eyebrow.

"Y/n? Are you talking to me?" He asked.

"What? No! I was... Talking to myself. Yeah. Uh... I've gotta go." Y/n jumped up and ran away. "You just had to say something right in the middle of one of our conversations, didn't you?!"

"Well it's true. You are a nuisance, and I am surprised." Y/t/n said.

"You're so annoying! It's times like these I wish you didn't exist!" Y/n said.

"So all the time? I barely ever annoyed you before you loosened up your little ropes and chains on me. Now that you've used glorb energy, we'll be closer than ever." Y/t/n said.

"You live inside my head! How much closer can you get?!" Y/n exclaimed.

"Don't get smart with me! I'll rip you apart!" Y/t/n growled.

"Let's see you try." Y/n said. Y/t/n sighed.

"Fine. You win this one, but only because I'm chained up, in a cage, deep inside your mind." Y/t/n said. "But if you're not careful, I'll take your special little powers that you get from me away, and then you'll be as weak as that loser KO."

"KO isn't a loser. And you wouldn't take my powers away, not unless you want to be locked deeper inside my mind." Y/n said.

"Whatever. You're just scared you're going to become weak." Y/t/n said.

"I am not!" Y/n shouted.

"And you don't even know what it'll be like because you've always had me." Y/t/n smirked.

"Be quiet, Y/t/n!" Y/n yelled. She heard laughter coming from Y/t/n as she quietened down. Y/n sighed and rubbed her temples, stressed out.

She didn't show it, but she was freaking out mentally. Ever since she tried to use the glorb energy, she loosened the chains on Y/t/n, and now she can talk to her and even try to fight for control.

She knew glorbs had the effect on her, but she didn't know why. They must've boosted Y/t/n's powers. That's what happened to Tko.

"Hey, Y/n!" Someone called. She turned and saw Enid and Rad.

"Oh, hey guys... What is it?" She asked.

"We just saw you make KO go away, and got curious." Enid said.

"Yeah, plus you were talking to yourself." Rad added. Y/n looked down.

"Um... I'm fine..." Y/n lied.

"You can tell us. Did something happen between you and KO?" Enid asked.

"Of course not. It's just..." Y/n fumbled her thumbs. She didn't make eye contact. "You promise you won't tell anyone, especially not KO?" Enid and Rad looked at each, then back to Y/n and nodded. "Well... I was going to boost my powers with a glorb. They make me much stronger, and I was going to use that to fight Boxman Junior."

"Yeah, we saw you try to use a glorb before you got taken. What's this got to do with your secret from KO?" Enid asked.

"Well... My powers come from my turbo form. Boosting it would mean having to loosen my... Ch-Chains on her. She can fight for control now." Y/n said.

"Well... She can't be worse than Tko, right?" Enid said.

"You don't understand. Y/t/n is crazy, revenge driven. She will kill anyone who tries to stop her. She's far, far worse than Tko." Y/n said.

"And she's apart of you?" Rad frowned. Y/n looked down and rubbed her arm.

"Well it's not my fault she was created. I don't know who made her." She said.

"Y/n, why are you keeping this from KO? He, of all people, need to know." Enid said.

"I don't know what he'll say. What if he freaks out? What if he gets mad? I-I have to protect him or- or-" Y/n began stuttering, panicking. She was scared. Y/t/n has never broken free. Heck, she's only been out once and that was when she was three. Things didn't end well.

But imagine what she'd do once she got out. She would hurt her friends, destroy everything, and maybe even kill someone. She's never had to face Y/t/n before. She didn't want to.

"Y/n, just breathe. We'll figure something out. But you can't keep this from KO forever. You have to tell him." Enid said. Y/n breathed in and out heavily.

"I'm scared. She's worse than anything we've ever faced. What if nobody can beat her? You can't hurt her without hurting me so you won't be able to do much and then she'll destroy everything!" Y/n exclaimed.

"Y/n, just calm down. We'll figure something out. But you have to do something first." Enid said as she pointed to KO, who was across the store cleaning. Y/n looked up at Enid, and she pushed Y/n towards him. "If we want to help you, we've gotta start with this."

Y/n sighed and walked up to KO. He turned to her and smiled.

"Hiya, Y/n! You ready to talk now?" He asked. She swallowed and nodded.

"Yes. There's something very important I need to tell you." Y/n said.

Things are about to get GOOD.
