Millie is just like Syd...but maybe worse. I mean I love her and all that, but her personality is fucking amazing. She can talk for the world...she also is the biggest hypocrite ever but there's no fucks. Man, me and Kitty need kids. If we ever did I imagine that they would be quieter...but weirder. I mean Millie is pretty fucking weird.

"And the teacher told me to shut up singing, but I didn't. You proud uncle?" Syd jabs me in the arm pretty hard with her white polished nail. I know I should probably be the mature adult that I'm meant to be...but in Millie eyes I'm like a super cool uncle and I need to maintain that reputation even though it could possibly screw her up. I mean I'm encouraging her to do bad things...which makes her like me...

I've well and truly fucked being a uncle up.

"Of course I'm proud!" I laugh before raising my arm up trying to avoid being slapped around the face by Syd. "Stop!" I laugh trying to point to the road, even though we're caught at a red light.

"Least you get me." With that I crack up laughing. I mean...I probably shouldn't laugh. But she's like a mini adult. I know that Syd relies on her daughter to make her feel better about things...she's matured way too fast. "That's it." Syd snaps as she turns her head around in her seat whilst I start driving, keeping my eyes on the road. "Millie. No more. Don't listen to Dan — he has been a bad boy...for all of his life." Bad boy? I mean...I can be a shit when I want and that time I nearly got arrested because of it.

"I have no idea how you can put up with your mum" I add to make things worse. "Oh my god Dan! Shut up! I'm trying to teach her a point." To be honest out of me and Syd....Syd is the fucked up sibling. "Am I going to see aunt Kitty today? She's my favourite." Same. With that I smile and nod my head, it's only moments later when I realise she probably can see my weird face or head movements. "Yeah Millie, and nanny and grandad" With that she jumps up and down enthusiastically in her car seat. Thankfully after the phone call with Syd I ran back inside the house and grabbed her booster seat.

"You excited?" I ask. I look in the car mirror to see her smiling her head off.

I'm not gonna lie, my niece is very pretty. I mean that's nothing new. My mum is a looker, so of course Syd is. Millie is basically a lookalike to both mum and Syd. Blue eyes, big smile. I haven't seen her dad, apparently he was a one night stand in America. He must have pretty boring genes because she looks like us 100%. I see she has my dad's nose and my sharp tooth, she's quite tall too with long dark hair.

"Are we going straight to mum and dad's? I need to change Millie and talk to my sister-in-law. I can't believe she's okay...I'm so happy." Syd and Kitty are pretty close. I'm surprised that Kitty didn't text Sydney about being free of cancer herself. I think no one is really thinking straight. "Yeah. We're going back to freshen up, you got clothes over there right?" I mean going to a fancy restaurant in a hoodie that isn't even Yeezy is offensive. I hate today's culture.

"Rude. But yes I have, what about you merch king?" I look down to see what I'm wearing and find out almost straight away that I'm no better. I'm wearing a black top, Aubrey from Twin Peaks, and black Adidas tracksuit bottoms. "I literally live next door..." I remind her.

"Can I have a sleepover. It's Friday!" Millie shouts happily. With that Syd shakes her head. I know that Kitty has missed Millie so I shrug, "I mean...me and your aunt would love to have you sleepover. But it's up to your mummy, right?" With that I feel Syd giving me a continue scolding look.

"Dan she's been bad..." her voice trails off as Millie tries to shut her mum up by begging loudly. "You need a break from her..." Syd looks stressed out, a few days of being Millie-less will not hurt nobody. "We want to...honest." I whisper. With that I take my eye off of the road for one second. Syd buries her face into her hands. "Fine. Only if you or Kitty take me home tonight and Kitty home on Sunday." That's a heck of a lot of driving. Even now I'm shitting myself. "Sure..." I falsely smile as Syd nods her head.

"Please!" Millie cries in the back. "Okay! Shut up! Otherwise you don't go!" With that stern warning Millie shuts up. "You are going to have sleepovers with Kitty and Dan. But you need to be a good girl, take it easy around aunt Kitty...if you be bad even once Dan will phone me up and tell me." In the car mirror I see Millie literally gulping. Man she has life easy.

"And mummy is going to get fucking pissed." Syd mumbles under her breath as she connects her phone's Spotify to the car. I on the other hand sniffer at her last comment. Not saying she needs a break — but Syd really fucking needs a break. I've never seen or heard her this moody before.
