Chapter 8

Chelsea's POV

The next morning I'm laying in bed scrolling through twitter when I get a text from Rydel. She must have put her number in my phone and texted herself when I wasn't paying attention.

'Hey! You, Nicole, and Nathan were invited to come over today, I can't wait to hang out with you!'

I smile. Rydel just texted me.

This is going to take some getting used to.

'I can't wait to see you too! See you soon!'

Nicole comes in my room as soon as I hit send.

"We're going over to the Lynch's, wanna come?" She asks me.

"Yes!" I answer jumping out of bed.

"Someone's excited."

"Shut up." I say laughing a little.

I take a quick shower and grab something to eat.

"Come on, we're leaving." Nathan tells me.

"Coming!"

We walk across the grass to their front door and Nathan rings the doorbell.

Riker answers the door.

"Hey guys come in!" He says.

We walk into the house and walk into the living room.

"Hey Chelsea." Ross says moving over on the couch so I can sit down.

"Hi Ross." I say sitting down.

We talk for a while and just hang out and Rydel suggests we watch a movie.

We end up watching 'The Lucky One'.

Halfway through the movie, Nathan's phone rings, he leaves the room to answer it.

When he comes back, he whispers something to Nicole.

"Hey Chels, I made plans for me and Nicole tonight, so you have the house to yourself." Nathan says.

"Do you wanna spend the night here?" Rydel asks me.

"If it's okay with you guys, sure!" I say. "I have to get some stuff, then I'll be back over."

When the movies done, the three of us head back over to the house. I quickly pack a bag and walk back over to the Lynch's.

"You can put your bag in my room." Rydel says.

"I don't know where that is." I tell her.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you've never seen the house before."

She shows me around the house and we go back into her room.

"So how are you liking Cali?" She asks me as she sits on her bed.

"So far, I love it. I haven't seen much though." I answer.

"We should go to the beach tomorrow!"

"That would be a lot of fun."

We talk about random things for a little while.

"Hey girls, wanna play truth or dare with us?" Rocky asks standing in the doorway.

"I'm up for it if you are." Rydel tells me.

"Sure, why not."

We go downstairs and we all sit in a circle.

Ross goes first.

"Rocky, truth or dare?"

"Dare."

Ross thinks for a second.

"I dare you to go jump in the pool fully clothed."

Rocky gets up and walks into the backyard; we all follow him.

He goes onto the diving board and jumps in.

"Holy crap it's cold." He says when he resurfaces.

We go back inside and Rocky changes quickly.

When he comes back, it's his turn.

"Chelsea, truth or dare?"

Oh gosh. I feel like I should say dare, but I feel like it would be a little too extreme for me.

"Truth." I answer.

He doesn't even think about it.

"Have you ever had a boyfriend?"

I blush a little.

"No."

"What? You mean a girl as beautiful as you has never had a boyfriend before?" Ross says.

"Nope, to be honest, the farthest I've ever gotten with a guy before was when you hugged me yesterday when we said goodbye." I say to him getting quieter as I said that last part.

Why did I say that?

"Really?" Riker asks shocked.

"Yep."

"Why haven't you had a boyfriend before?" Ryland asks me.

"Ryland!" Ross yells at him.

"You don't have to answer that." Riker says to me.

"It's okay, I don't mind. I've just never found a guy I'm interested in enough. Although, there is this one guy I'm kinda falling for."

"Ooh! What's he like?" Rydel squeals.

"Well, he's older than me, kinda tall, blonde, kinda long hair, and he can sing and play guitar." I say glancing at Ross.

He looks kinda jealous.

Rydel yawns.

"I'm tired, I think I'm going to go to sleep." She says standing up.

"Yeah, me too. Goodnight." I say following her.

Ross' POV

"I'm not asking her out." I say once Chelsea's in Rydel's room.

"Dude, why not?" Rocky asks.

"Cuz she likes some other guy."

They all look at me like I'm crazy.

"Ross, she was describing you perfectly." Riker says.

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Whatever, I'm going to bed."

As I walk past Del's room, I hear Chelsea talking.

"Are you okay with me liking Ross?"

I freeze. She really does like me.

I don't care that she's only going to be here for 2 weeks, I'm asking her out tomorrow, I've already wasted enough time.
