Chelsea's POV

I wake up the next morning to Rydel shaking me.

"Wake up! We're going to the beach today!" She says.

I'm not much of a morning person, so it takes me a minute to process what's going on and where I'm at. Oh yeah, I slept over at the Lynch's house last night. I have to tell Sophie.

"Oh my gosh!" I say kinda loudly.

Rydel looks at me confused.

"I forgot to call my best friend Sophie and tell her I'm in Cali!"

"Well, call her now!"

I grab my phone and call her.

My eyes get wide.

"What?" Rydel asks.

"What time is it?"

"9:30, why?"

"Okay good, its 6:30 back home; she should be up already getting ready for school. I was worried I would wake her up."

"Yeah, that probably wouldn't be a good thing."

"Hello?" Sophie answers.

"Hey! It's me!"

"Hey Chels! How's Cali?"

"Amazing!"

"I wanna talk to her!" Rydel says.

"Hey Soph, someone wants to talk to you."

I put her on speaker.

"Hey Sophie! It's Rydel!"

Sophie screams.

"Chelsea! You didn't tell me you were with Rydel!" She screamed at me.

I laugh.

"By the way, I'm with Rydel. There, now I told you." I say laughing a little.

The three of us talk for about a half hour until she had to leave for school.

"I'm going to go change in the bathroom and get ready, I'll be right back." I say grabbing my stuff for the beach out of my bag.

"Okay! I'll be in here."

I walk out of Rydel's room and close the door behind me. When I turn back around and take a step forward, I run into someone and trip. It was Ross.

"Well good morning to you too." He says grabbing my arms keeping me from falling.

I smile.

"Good morning, Ross."

He let's me go and we both take a step back. I notice that he's not wearing a shirt, and he's just in sweatpants that are sagging a little so you can see his pink boxers.

"Well?" He asked me.

I refocus.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"I asked you if you were excited to go to the beach?"

"Yes! We don't really have a beach in Ohio, so I've never been before." I tell him.

"You've never been to the beach?! You don't know what you're missing."

I laugh a little.

"Well, I'm going to go get ready." I say walking towards the bathroom.

"Okay." He says watching me.

I look over my shoulder at him as he turns to walk down the stairs.

"I saw you check me out by the way." Ross yells at me as he's walking.

I blush and smile.

After I'm done getting ready, I throw my pjs in my bag and go downstairs to eat breakfast.

Stormie's making French toast.

"Hi! You must be Chelsea, I've heard a lot about you." I glance at Ross and he looks down and smiles a little. "I'm Stormie, but you probably already know that."

"Hi, it's nice to meet you." I say to her.

We all eat breakfast then head to the beach.

Rydel and I find a good spot to tan. It's still August, so I'm still pretty tan from summer; but I still look really pale compared to the rest of them.

The boy's go into the water.

About a half hour after we've been there, Ross comes over to us, and sits down next to me.

"Wanna go in the water?" He asks me.

"Is it cold?"

"Not really."

"In a couple minutes." I say.

He stands up and the next thing I know, I'm being picked up and am in Ross' arms.

"Ross what are you doing?!" I yell.

"Taking you in the water!"

He goes out into the water until it's about waist deep and throws me in.

When I come back up, I splash him.

"You lied to me, it's really cold."

"Sorry, but now you're in, so why not stay?"

Rydel joins us and all of us and we play a few games.

Around one, we get hungry so we go to the concession stand and get lunch.

After lunch, we sit in the sand and make sandcastles and stuff, just having fun.

"The volleyball net's open, wanna play?" Rocky asks everyone.

"Sure." We all say.
