Chapter 44

"Oh my gosh!" I yell.

"Happy birthday!" Sophie, Nicole, and Nathan say running to me.

I hug them and almost start crying.

"I've missed you so much." I tell them.

"I've missed you too!" Sophie says.

"I'm so sorry I didn't visit you when I was in town last week. There was way too much stuff going on and I just wanted to get back."

"It's okay. You're mom filled me in, I totally understand why you didn't."

"I can't believe you're really here!" I say as I hug her again.

"And you two!" I yell hugging Nicole and Nathan again.

Nathan moved to New York to be with Nicole before they got married. I haven't seen them in a couple months.

"I can't believe you're 18!" Nicole says to me.

"I know, it's crazy."

"Ross called me about two weeks ago telling me about all this and he sent me a plane ticket so I could come surprise you." Sophie says.

"And he called me about two weeks ago also and told me he was going to surprise you, and that he wanted us to be here for it." Nicole adds.

I turn to Ross and smile.

"This was all your idea?" I ask him.

"I wanted to do something special for you."

"Thank you so much." I say as I hug him.

I go inside and change into my bathing suit and I go into the pool with Sophie, Rydel, Savannah, Alexa, and Chloe. Nicole and Nathan go and sit with my mom and Stormie and talk.

A little while later, mom announces that it's time for cake.

Once we're done eating, Stormie suggests we open presents.

I mostly get gift cards and money. Sophie got me a huge picture frame with pictures from when we were on tour together in it.

When I'm done, I thank everyone and I stand up to clear the table area.

"Wait." Ross begins. "There's still one more."

I look down at the table to see if I missed one.

"I don't see any." I say confused.

"That's because I have it." He says reaching into the pocket of his shorts.

He pulls out a little box.

"Now I know we're still young, but we've been together for a while now, and I can't think of a better time to do this than right now." He says.

I look at him a little confused. I think I know what's about to happen, but I'm not sure.

Ross gets down on one knee and grabs my hand.

"Chelsea, when I saw that day you came over almost two year ago, I knew you were going to be more than just a fan. You didn't care that my family or I was famous, and you treated us normally. I know I did some things that probably weren't the best idea, but we worked through it and you forgave me. And now here we are. You're my inspiration for everything I do. I love you more than anything in the world and I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else. Chelsea, would you marry me?"

I started crying about half way through Ross' speech.

I don't even have to think about my decision.
