I Can't Forget You//Ross Lynch&R5

Chapter 31

Tonight's my first show by myself. I'm really not that nervous or anything. I mean, I'm kinda upset that Sophie left, but that was her decision. We're also in New York tonight, and Nicole's coming to the show.

Since it's just me now, I changed the setlist.

I now open with 'Sk8er Boi' by Avril Lavigne, then it goes, 'Break Free' by Ariana Grande, 'Must Be Love' by Christina Grimmie, 'Human' by Christina Perri, then I close with 'My Life Would Suck Without You' by Kelly Clarkson.

When I ran onstage to start, I looked into the crowed and a few people looked confused as to why I was by myself and Sophie wasn't with me.

Before I started 'Human', I decided to tell the people that didn't know what was going on, what was happening between Sophie and I.

"So most of you know that Sophie normally is out here with me. Well she left tour for personal reasons and won't be coming back."

I didn't want to tell them what happened in detail, they don't really need to know that much about it.

"Hope you guys are having fun!"

Then the song starts.

When I went out to take pictures with fans, a few wanted to know more about what happened, but I didn't tell them anything more than what I said when I was on stage.

Nicole comes up to the table when it was her turn, and we don't talk much because Mark hands her a vip pass thing so we can hang out during the show.

I have to admit, it was weird singing without Sophie tonight. Not going to lie, I miss her a little. Yes I know I should've told her I was moving when I found out and I shouldn't have kept it from her, but I didn't want to ruin her summer.

We, R5 and I, have a surprise for the fans tonight.

We're going to stage bomb Ryland during his last song of his set.

When there's a couple minutes until Ry goes on, I leave the table and join R5 backstage.

Ryland goes on and the fans start dancing and singing along.

About twenty minutes later, he starts his last song which is 'Turn Down For What'

We don't go out until the first "turn down for what".

As soon as we run out onto the stage, the crowd goes crazy! Mostly because of R5, but I don't care, I'm having fun.

The seven of us dance around on stage and are just having a good time.

For the first time since she left, I didn't think about what was going on between Sophie and I; I just let go and had fun.

When the song was done, we walked off the stage and R5 finished getting ready.

Nicole comes backstage a few minutes before R5 goes on.

"Hey Chelsea!" She says hugging me.

"Hey!" I say hugging her back. "How are you?"

She holds up her hand, showing me her engagement ring, that I already knew about.

"Oh my gosh!" I yell in excitement.

"He proposed the last time he was in New York, I just wanted to wait until I saw you in person to tell you."

"Did you tell my mom yet?" I ask her.

"Yep. I called her when you left for tour. I didn't know you guys were moving to Cali."

"Yeah, I can't wait."

"So what happened between you and Sophie?"

"She got mad when she found out I was moving."

"Really? That's stupid; she should be happy for you, not mad at you."

"That's not the whole reason." I say. "I didn't tell her until two days ago, I've known since the beginning of tour."

"Okay now I can see why she'd be upset. But she's still being unreasonable and I can see why you didn't tell her."

"I don't know. Maybe I'll try talking to her when I get back home for a few days before I leave for Cali. Mom isn't going to be there when I get back, so I'm staying with my grandma." I tell her.

"I hope you get through to her and you two become friends again."

The rest of the time, we talk about how we've been and watch the show.
