"Hey, Sadie, wanna come to a party at Colton's house tonight?" William asked, leaning against the red locker next to mine.
"Sure, when is it?" I nodded, unlocking my locker.
"Starts whenever you get there." William smiled his beautiful smile.
I rolled my eyes. He took the hint and sighed.
"Eight sharp." William walked away.
I bent down and put my textbooks and homework in my black backpack. I zipped it up and stood up. I slung a strap over my shoulder and picked up my phone. I slammed close my locker, locking it. I left the junior's locker corridor and walked out of the school building.
My phone vibrated. I check the screen. My step mom had texted me. I tapped the message.
I put in my four digit password and read the message.
'cant come get u' I read off the screen.
I sighed. Hoping that Madison hadn't left. I sent her a text asking if I could get a ride home.
"Hey, Sadie, hop in, I'll drive you home." William called from his blue jeep.
My phone vibrated. I looked at it. Madison had told me she already left. William was my only way home.
"Hurry up, I don't have all day." William smiled.
I decided to trust William. I walked around to the other side of the car and got in. I buckled the seatbelt after putting my bag in the backseat.
"Where do you live?" William looked at me, expectantly.
I told him my address. William zipped out if the school parking lot. He glided down the streets at high speeds.
"Slow down, please." I requested.
"Why, don't you want to get home?" William glanced at me.
"Not in a huge rush. You're speeding. A cop could pull you over." I mumbled.
"Okay." William smiled, mischievously.
William slowed down. He turned into an empty parking lot. I realized he was high. Oh God what did I sign myself up for?
"How long you wanna wait?" William looked at me, dead serious.
He must be joking. I looked into his gorgeous blue-grey eyes. His slightly curly blonde hair falling into his eyes.
"You look different when you look at me." William broke the silence.
I blushed heavily. Why would he say that? He never even as much as looked my way at school. How would he know what I looked like normally?
William chuckled. His deep chuckle made me happy. I loved hearing his laughter. It was so rare. So contagious as well.
"Guess I'll take you home. You gotta get ready for the party, don't you?" William turned from me and drove out of the parking lot and down the streets to my house.
He got to my house and parked in the driveway. He didn't unlock the doors though. I pulled at the handle to give him a hint.
"I look forward to see you at the party. Please don't embarrass yourself at the party. I would hate to see your pretty face all contorted in embarrassment." William unlocked the door after he said this.
I pulled my backpack out of the backseat and left his car. I swiftly walked into my house.

I looked in the full length mirror on the back of my door. I inspected my appearance.
I was wearing a short black dress. It showed off my long slender legs. I wore black wedge heels. My long black hair was in a smooth braid over my left shoulder. My nails were painted black. My accent finger had silver glitter. My makeup was dark.
