Friday came. I spent that morning working on school work. Dad, Hadley and my step mom were all three busy. Valery had no ride to get over and Madi and William were at school.
School was preparing for finals. Because I missed so much school, they excused me from finals, but that also meant I had to play catch-up so I had a high enough grade it wouldn't mess up my GPA. Luckily the nurses who came in hourly could always offer me help.
I was showing great progress. I was able to sit up without support. My speech had returned to normal. And I could twist my body.
Once I was able to twist my body, the nurses allowed me my phone. After that, William blew my phone up with texts while he was supposed to be learning. Granted sometimes it was important parts of lectures in the classes we shared.
But today my phone didn't vibrate during the school hours. I only received six texts. One each from my step-mom, my dad, Val, Madi, William and Hadley. They all wished me happy birthday.
I expected Valery to text me about how bored she was. Usually Val would keep me company while everyone else was at work or school. Hadley had to go into work early and couldn't drop Val off at my hospital room today.
The nurse came in and gave me my lunch. It was a salad. To drink, I had water. I was only allowed to drink water or my painkiller liquid.
I was pretty much off my painkillers.
"How's your homework going, sweetie?" The nurse asked.
She was always kind. She stayed and chatted with me while I ate lunch. Sometimes she'd bring me a vegan cookie.
"I almost have the whole week finished. Just have to finish my Japanese. It's the hardest." I smiled.
We chatted for a while while I ate lunch. Then the nurse left and I went back to my Japanese essay.
"Guess who." I heard a familiar voice say from the door.
I looked up from the essay to see William standing in the doorway. He was dressed in a black winter coat and jeans. His coat was unzipped to show his close fitting blue shirt.
In his hand he held a birthday bag.
"Aren't you supposed to be in school?" I asked.
"It's not that important. I rather have time alone with you. And, I had to figure out your birthday present." William brushed it off and made his way over to the chair next to my bed.
"You shouldn't skip school." I rebuked him.
"School is just a waste of time. You're not a waste of time. I rather do what is not a waste of time." William smirked.
He knew exactly what he was implying. He also knew how uncomfortable those topics were for me.
"Will!" I exclaimed, a blush on my cheeks.
"Who knew your mind was always in the gutter." William chuckled.
"Shut up, you knew exactly what those words were insinuating." I hid my face behind my hair.
"Do you want your present?" William changed the topic.
"Yes." I looked up.
William handed me the bag. I took it and pulled out the wrapping paper. I felt the object in the bag to figure out what it was.
It was a book. No, a photo album. I wrapped my fingers around it and pulled it out of the bag.
The album said: William and Sadie's adventures.
I opened the front cover and saw a picture of William and I at the party where he kissed me. The next picture was of us at his Halloween party. After that there was a ticket. An airplane ticket. The destination was Japan. It was for two people.
I looked up at William.
"There's more. There's about four more. Ireland, UK, Italy, and China. I knew you wanted to go to those places so I wanted to take you there." William explained.
"Thank you Will." I smiled.
I wanted to jump up and hug him. And then kiss him so hard that he knew how much I loved him right now. But, I couldn't, any sudden movements still hurt my body.
"I want you to see the world with me." William said.
"Do you wanna see the world?" I asked.
"I see the world everyday, when I look at you. You are my world." William blushed.
"You're my everything. You're the air I breathe and the water I need. You're all I need to see. I love you." I whispered.
I had no idea where those words came from. They were all true though.
A/N~ I'm the worst author. I'm sorry. This chapter is not only late but short too. I failed. This book is actually not far from over. I think, if I did the math right, this book will have twenty eight chapters. Maybe more but that's my target. Okay that's all I got...
