I coughed. My throat hurt when I did. There was a scarlet liquid on the inside of my elbow, which I had coughed into. My eyes grew wide in worry.
"Sadie!? Are you-" William cut his sentence short when he spotted the blood in the crook of my elbow.
"Sweetie, get in the car. We're going to take you to the hospital. Come on, Will." Hadley saw the blood as well.
I felt dizzy. I swayed on my feet. William moved quickly to my side. He wrapped his arms around me to support me.
"I got you." William whispered in my ear.
Hadley led the way to her red van. She opened the back door to let us in. I got in and then William got in. Hadley got into the driver's seat.
She sped down the streets to the nearby emergency room. She pulled into an empty parking spot and got out of the car. William helped me out of the car.
I coughed into my elbow again, splashing more blood on my skin.
"Hadley, get a person out here." William said to Hadley.
Hadley nodded and rushed inside. She came back within five minutes with a team of paramedics. One of them was pushing a stretcher.
Suddenly, I wondered how Hadley would explain my injuries. Then, a horrible thought occured to me, what if they see my scars.
The tank top I was wearing covered them mostly. The last scar on my shoulders were barley visible, though.
The paramedics reached me and I was told to lay down on the stretcher. I did and they strapped me in. They rushed me inside the building and down the multitude of halls. William and Hadley following behind.

"Okay, Ms. Everleigh, you have suffered from a couple infections that are pretty serious, internal bleeding, and a blood test showed us that you have a serious blood infection. Now, mind telling us what really happened?" The doctor came in and read my things off a clipboard.
"I got jumped. I didn't see the boys' faces." I lied.
I became pretty skilled at lying since I joined the fight club. This lie was the first to pop into my head that covered all the bases.
"And what about the scars on your back, they look like claw marks and are infected. In fact one of your scars is the cause of your blood infection." The doctor looked at me, pointedly.
"Sweetie!" Mom rushed into my room.
I was struck with the inability to say anything at the sight of my mother. I haven't seen her since I was six.
She had schizophrenia. Lived a life where she believed I loved her, no matter what she did. I hated mom.
"Ma'am, are you the legal gaurdian of Sadie?" The doctor turned to mom.
I said no at the same time she said yes. The doctor looked confused for a moment.
"Sorry, my mom has, er, Schizophrenia." I explained.
"Oh, so, she's not your legal gaurdian?" The doctor asked.
"Correct." I nodded. "What are the treatment options?"
"Well, we have to put you on antibiotics for the infections and see how serious the blood infection is. If it's not very serious we can treat it with antibiotics. But, we have to have consent from your legal gaurdian." The doctor explained.
"That's me." Mom said in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Ma'am, I have to ask you to leave." The doctor said calmly.
"She's my fucking daughter! You can't tell me I can't see my own child when she's in the fucking hospital!" Mom yelled.
"Ma'am, I have to ask you to calm down, if you don't I'm going to call security." The doctor said.
"No, I will not leave!" Mom crossed her arms across her chest.
Dad walked in and frowned seeing my mother.
"Hera, what are doing here." Father asked.
"You! You told my daughter those stupid lies! I should of never let you near her!" Mom's venom was directed straight at father.
"Security!" The doctor called out into the hall.
Mom yelled at father. Her face was red in anger. This was her scary side. The side she showed too often. The side I hated. I hated it because I had that side. It was the side that made me such a lethal fighter.
The security rushed in and restrained mom. She yelled aggressively at the guard. Struggled, futility, under the muscular arm of the man.
The guy pulled her out of the room. Her angry screams echoed as she was pulled down the hallway. The doctor looked embarrassed.
"Are you her legal gaurdian?" The doctor asked.
"That is correct, sorry it took so long, I was at work." Father nodded. "Her other gaurdian, my wife, couldn't get off of work."
"Okay, we only need one. You need to give permission for Sadie to be on the antibiotics." The doctor explained.
"What are they for?" Father asked.
"She has a couple of infections." The doctor answered.
"Then put her on the antibiotics." Father nodded his assent.
"Okay." The doctor left the room.
"Sadie Lynne Everleigh what the hell happened?" Dad looked, disappointedly, at me.
"I got jumped." I answered.
"By who?" Father's blue eyes flickered with anger.
"I didn't see thier faces, they never said anything. They knew better than to leave evidence. My school mate, William, and his sister-in-law found me and took me to the hospital." I covered all the bases.
"Did they see the people?" Father asked.
"No. They came after the boys left." I answered.
"Were there any cameras?" Father asked.
"No, dad drop it, I lived and they didn't take anything from me so I don't really care about punishing them." I hoped my words would do something to diffuse the fire in his eyes.
"Well, I care, this is my daughter they hurt." Dad's eyes were now ablaze with fire.
"Dad, you're acting like mom." I squeaked.
The fire in father's eyes vanished.
"Sorry." Dad sat down in the chair next to my hospital bed.
"Dad, I need to tell you something." I bit my lower lip before speaking.
"What is it?" Father looked gently at me.
In his blue eyes I saw a deep fear. Fear of losing his only daughter. In that moment I saw how much I meant to him. That made my next words harder to say.
"I went to a therapist who specializes in Schizophrenia. She told me I exhibit a lot of trait for the mental disorder. And after taking into account that the disorder is genetic she's ninety-nine percent sure that I have the disorder." I explained.
"What?" His voice reflected just how brokenhearted those words made him.
"The therapist referred me to another one for a second opinion." I said.
A/N~ Thank you for reading this chapter that was late being posted. To be honest I was late getting up and I went to a football game at two o clock. And I was lazy last night and only got research for the topics I'm writing about done. So hopefully I can write the next chapter on time. That's all...
