Ryan and I sit on opposite sides of the table, him talking as we wait for the bill. He's talking about when he wants to release his new album, and I just watch and listen. It's our four year anniversary.

Next to us is a couple with a little girl, probably around four or five. Her parents look very happy, as does she. I look back at Ryan and stop when I begin to realize. I wanna start a family with him. I wanna marry him, I wanna make plans with him, I wanna start a family with him.

I want him in my life forever.

The bill comes, I pay, and then we get up to leave. I hold his hand as we step into the cold, snowy air. We start to pass a ring store when he tells me he has to go to the bathroom. We step inside, and the worker shows him where. Once he leaves the room, I look at the worker.

"I need a ring," I say. "Engagement, to be exact."

He quickly leads me to an area for just that and I pick one out. Ryan steps out, and I stand in front of the ring on the counter.

"Hey," I say.

"Hey," he replies, and then his phone starts ringing. He looks at it. "I gotta take this, it's the record company," he says, and I nod, kissing him quickly before he steps outside. I buy the ring, then thank the guy and leave the store. Ryan's still on the phone when I go outside, and I wait patiently for him to finish. We begin to walk down the street until we reach a pretty park. The ground is covered in snow and there are fairy lights on the trees.

"Okay, perfect, I'll be there tomorrow!" He says, and soon hangs up. I pull the ring out of my pocket and hold it between us, stopping in my tracks. He turns to look at me, notices the ring, and I watch his expression drop.

"Tonight I realized that I don't wanna spend my life with anyone except you, and I think it's time for me to finally do this, so, Ryan Ross, will you marry me?" I ask, and he smiles, tears in his eyes. He nods.

"God, you're such a dork," he says, and I smile. I put the ring on his finger and stare into his eyes. The lights sparkle in them, and I realize just how lucky I am that I have him.
