None of Dallon and Ryan's friends know about their feelings for each other. They know, but they don't know how much. The rumor got out to the two that they both have a crush on each other, but being nervous to say it has been getting in the way.
Now, they lay on Dallon's bed, staring at the ceiling in silence. They want to ask desperately.
                              "I-" They both stop.
                              "Go ahead," Dallon says.
"No, no, you go ahead, it's fine."
"What I wanna say is pretty serious."
"Same with mine, you can go first," Ryan says, both of them looking at each other.
                              "Mine will change everything."
                              "So will mine."
                              "Question or just a statement?"
"Could be either, depends how I wanna phrase it."
                              "Why don't you go first?"
"No, I'm serious, it'll change everything. Like, our whole friendship."
                              "So will mine."
They stop, realizing how close they are and how they've rolled onto their sides to face each other, but now there's hardly an inch between their bodies. Then they realize that they might just be thinking the same thing.
"Are we thinking the same thing?" Ryan asks.
                              "I don't know, are we?"
"Let's say it at the same time."
"No, because what if we end up saying different things?"
                              "Does yours involve a rumor?"
                              "Yeah, yours?"
                              "Yeah."
They stop for a moment, hearts racing.
"Does yours have a positive outcome?" Ryan asks. Their hands brush together, Dallon's fingers bravely intertwining with Ryan's very slowly.
                              "I hope so. Does yours?"
"If you hope so then I think it will." Dallon pushes himself up to hover over Ryan a bit, Ryan staring into Dallon's pretty blue eyes.
"Can I make that rumor become reality?" Dallon asks. Ryan nods.
"Please," he says, and with that, Dallon leans down and collides their lips. Ryan's arms immediately wrap around Dallon's neck, lips slowly moving together. They stay like this for a long time, smiling and kissing and holding each other lovingly. Snow falls outside, the blinking Christmas lights from across the street shining into the room through the blinds.
Dallon pulls away and they stare at each other. They both laugh lightly.
                              "So..." Dallon starts.
                              "So..." Ryan repeats.
"Will you be my boyfriend?" Dallon asks, and Ryan smiles, nodding.
                              "I'd love to."
