We get into the meeting hall and Dad marches right up to the front podium. There are a few chairs close to it for Daric: the current Beta, Blake: the next Beta, Carter (yes his first name is the same as my middle name.): and me. Blake and Carter are already seated and I join them. Daric shows up soon after, along with the rest of the warriors that live a little farther away, and sits next to me like every time. Carter is on my other side, and Blake is on Daric's other side. I pull out my phone and pull up my Minecraft Pocket edition. No, I'm not a Minecraft addict, but I was a few years back when it was actually good. Beta 1.7.3 I believe was the best, right after they added to piston (and fixed the bugs).

I start to walk down my mine as Dad starts to talk. "Rogues are on their way to our territory to attack. I just got a call from Alpha Ben from the Red Star Pack that they will be here in about an hour." His voice projects around the room. "I just wanted you lot to know and try to come up with a plan to have a little casualties a possible. No need in having you getting hurt if it can be prevented." Murmurs fill the room.

I pause my game by going to the "options" screen and look up to address Dad. "Alpha Max-" Even though he is my father, I have to call him Alpha in formal settings. I use to get excited as a kid to call him by his name. Now, I am just used to it. It is like pouring your own cereal. It's big deal when you're a kid, until you do it all the time. "-do we know which group of rogues this is?"

"Yes, it is the same group that attacked us two weeks ago."

"So, the ones headed by Henric Marvus?" This particular group of rogues enjoys attacking us and zeroing in on us. They are mainly hanging out on just the other side of Red Star. Why they attack us instead, I don't know. And, yes, we have tried going to them, a few times. But it always seems like they are tipped off, and they disappear before we can make it to their woods.

"Yes, it is that group." With that conformation, I already know what needs to be done. This group is fairly predictable in their attack styles for me. I don't know how no one else can tell.

I turn back to my game and double check my "data base" as to what Henric's rogues are doing. Once I am sure, I mutter to myself with a sigh. "It's just a raid, not a full blown attack. There will be about 20 wolves with their strongest members on their front right. I don't know why they do that." I roll my eyes. I hear Daric scuff, but I continue. "It would be best to send 12 to their right and 10 to the other side." A zombie walks up to me in the cave, and I pause to slay him. "And, no killing. Let's not make matters worse."

Carter leans over to whisper in my ear. "Why don't you say any of this aloud?"

I shrug as I start to dig up coal. "Not like they will listen to me."

Carter sighs and turns back to my father. Planning fills the air and after a few minutes there is talk of sending practically and army to do battle. What are they thinking? They really blew this thing up. Might as well stop it now.

"Alpha," I interrupt the debating. He turns to look at me. "May I have a quick word with you? In private?"

He nods his head, and I step over to him. We walk out a side door and into the empty hallway.

He looks at me with a nod. "What is it son?"

"I know how to deal with this, and it is not by a full on battle." I state simply.

"And what is it?" Dad has a small sliver of annoyance in his voice.

"It's just a raid. There will be, like, 20. Send 12 to their right and 10 to the left. Batta bing batta boom. Just don't kill anyone. That will just add flame to their fiery cause." I roll my eyes.
