After the last rogues were taken care of, I ran straight to the pack house and to Amanda. Dad tells everyone to meet here.

"The rogues attacked in a large force tonight," Dad starts. "A larger force than they have used on us before." He takes a second to look over the crowd of Silver Moon member. Half of them are only in shorts-the male warriors-or a T shirt-the female warriors-while the rest look like they just got home from work.

"They have singled out our pack for an unknown reason." He continues. "Though, we do have a theory." He looks at me in the crowd and motions for me to come to stand next to him. I move through to get to him, and he whispers to me, "Tell them about the halfie theory. I'm curious to know what this is." I nod to him.

"As many of you may already know," I turn to the pack. "This rogue cell is located somewhere on the other side of Red Star. They move around Red Star to get to us, but they do not attack them. The golden question is 'why?' " I scan the crowd to see Amanda in the back. This is the first time I have really addressed the pack and locking gazes with her calms my nerves. I smile as I think of her saying how they will listen to me and will love me.

"I believe I know why." I start up again. "There is a difference between Red Star and us. It is that we have pack members who are halfies. Now, it isn't that we welcome them, and Red Star does not. They just don't happen to have any." I look away from Amanda feeling like I can continue on by myself.

"I know there are wolves out there-" My eye wander around the group and land on Daric. "-that don't like halfies-" They move on. "-or worse. I believe these rogues to be of the latter connotation. I think they are targeting halfies. Now, there is no real evidence of this. I can only hypothesis, but there is no other thing I can find to answer the question of their motives." I finish.

"Thank you, Logan." Dad steps forward. "Now, we don't know what made them attack tonight. And, as Logan mentioned, we are not sure it they are after halfies. For this reason, I want everyone to take precautions. We ask that you do not go anywhere without others and not to stray too close to the boarders. Also, I will be asking that all half wolf members move into the pack house for their own protection. Patrols will be raised, and we will ask that you all try to make it to a training that fits your position. Thank you, and stay safe."

The pack starts to disperse on that cue. Dad clamps my shoulder and gives me a proud smile. "Great job, Logan." I smile back.

Amanda and her parents walk towards us. She has a broad grin on her lips, and she takes my hand once she reaches us.

"So is there a certain time that we will need to move into the pack house?" Chris asks Dad.

Before he can answer, I interject. "You won't be staying in the pack house."

I can tell Dad is about to question me until he sees my expression and understanding washes over him.

"Then where-" Chris starts.

"You will be staying with us at the Alpha house." I answer him.

Chris nods slowly. "Okay, well, is there a specific time we should get there."

Dad answers this time. "No, my wife will be at the house almost all day. If she isn't there, she should just be in the pack house. For the next few nights, until all our halfie members are safe, we will have warriors by the houses of halfies in the area."
