Punch. Kick. Dodge. Get Hit.
Repeat.
Punch. Kick. Dodge. Get Hit.
Mix up.
Get hit. Dodge. Kick. Punch.
These ghost riders were constantly on their toes, never letting their backs turn on us, always ready for our next move. And one by one, they kept on coming.
I was starting to get overwhelmed. There were just so many.
I looked back to Theo and Liam. Of course the both of them were struggling. Liam was pinned down against the floor, and Theo was struggling to not get shot by two of the ghost riders.
What can I do. What can I do...
I can't release the energy or fire ball, it'll kill Liam and Theo too since they are so close. What can I do?!?!
Aha...
I let the ghost riders take my body, and pinning me up against the walls.
My mind went completely blank as I could feel their victory.
My hands were locked down besides my sides as I slowly turned my palms outwards.
I closed my eyes as I started to feel the earth moving.
Wind suddenly came swooping down the hallways of the hospital as I started my chant.
"Malum spirituum et abrierunt!
Malum spirituum et abrierunt!"
I shouted. Within seconds, all of the ghost riders had lit up in flames and vanished. As if I had just vanquished a demon in charmed.
My feet fell back to the floor and planted firmly against the ground as I leaned forward to catch my breathe.
"Lace, h-how did you know that?" Liam asked me, catching his breathe too.
"I've been practicing witchcraft. It's getting easier." I admitted, but of course he was always too busy to know.
Or maybe I just never thought of telling him...
"When did you start practicing?" Theo asked, catching his breathe and asking me in a serious matter
"A few months ago. I'm getting really good. Obviously. I know more spells than any other witch. I don't know why I don't use them all the time." I say, trying to act casual.
"Lacey. Witchcraft has never been a good practice. You could end up getting into black magic." I knew Theo would be worried about that.
"What's black magic?" Liam intervened
"I-it's magic that isn't natural. Instead it comes from the underworld. You normally have to channel your magic through Mother Nature and it's universe. Black magic makes you siphon magic from the underworld and greater beings unknown." I'm very familiar with the black magic. Mainly because that's part of what jack was using while he was possessing me.
"And what? Your just not the least bit worried that something bad might happen to drive you towards that power?" Theo crossed his arms and moved closer to me, stepping in front and looking down.
I was afraid to look up. I knew what he was talking about. The underworld has a certain craving. A certain calling that makes you want to answer. But it especially has a certain pull to beings that have already been exposed to it. . . Beings like me.
