(Before yall ask, RCHS is my high school, so I thought why not put my school in the book. Enjoy!)
Bruno's POV:
"Oh my god! Man, I'm so nervous about coronation tonight!" I said pacing around the room with my friends. "Bruno! Calm down, my dude! Tonight is gonna go well," Phill, my best friend, said grabbing my shoulders. You see, I'm Mr. RCHS aka Ruleville Central High School, and I'm hella nervous about the fact that I have to slow dance with Jennifer D. Raymond, the most popular, smart, beautiful, and talented girl in the whole school. And it's not a shocker that she's Mrs. RCHS, and we have to waltz in front of everyone at the coronation tonight."I just hope that I don't make a fool out of myself because I really, really like Jennifer and I want her to like me," I said styling my hair. "Bruno, don't worry! Shit, I bet Jennifer isn't as worried about this as you are," Kameron said patting my back. He's right, I mean Jennifer got this coronation in the bag she's never nervous.
Jennifer's POV:
"Oh, Jennifer! You look beautiful!" Mom said as I saw myself in the mirror. "Mama, I'm so nervous about dancing with Bruno tonight. He's a good dancer and I don't want to make a fool out of myself tonight," I said putting my lipstick on. "Don't worry, princess— Queen! Your king will lead you as you both dance. You have nothing to worry about," Mom said as she went downstairs to get my family and friends reaction to my dress and to take a picture. As I walked down the stairwell, all of my best friends and family gasped and smiled at the sight of me and my dress. "Aww, there goes our little princess," Dad said as I walked. "She's not a princess anymore, she's a beauty queen, and Mrs. RCHS," my godmother said crying tears of joy. "Oh, bestie! I did good picking out your dress. Now come on if you don't wanna be late," Trevor, my #1 best friend, said spinning me around and walking us to his car.
As we were driving to the school, I just had to ask for some advice. "Oh, bestie! I'm nervous as hell right now. I have to waltz with Bruno in front of everyone, and I don't want to make a fool out of myself because I really, really like him, and I want him to like me," I said. "Hey, be cool. Okay, you got this and if Bruno doesn't like you for the way that you are, then he is not worth your time," he said grabbing my hand and helping me out of the car. Trevor's right, if Bruno doesn't really like me for the way I am, then he's not worth it.
*Time Skip*
"Now, here as Mr. RCHS, Peter "Bruno" Hernandez Jr! Bruno is a 12th grader, son of Bernadette San Pedro Bayot and Peter Hernandez Senior, he's in the Ruleville Central Choir and Ruleville Central Band. Bruno is going to be attending Alcorn and major in music. He hobbies are singing dancing and playing basketball, and Bruno's goal is to be a world known singer/songwriter and dancer," the superintendent of the school said as Bruno walked down the aisle in the gym where the coronation was being held at. All of his friends and family were cheering for him and more people who didn't know him still cheered.
"And now, will everyone please stand for our Mrs. RCHS, Jennifer Raymond! Jennifer is also a 12th grader, daughter of Jackson and Jasmine Raymond. She is also in Ruleville Central Choir and Ruleville Central Band, and She will be attending Alcorn as well and major in writing, directing, and music. Jennifer's hobbies are singing, dancing, writing, and designing, and her goal is to be the best selling author in the country," the superintendent said as I walked down beside Bruno as everyone cheered for me.
"Hi," I said looking at him, and may I say he looks good in his suit. "Hey," he said looking at me. I don't even know what I was so nervous about. Hey, maybe I might pull this off. "And now we will have a preference of the waltz by our own boy band, Next Town Down, and our very own Mr. and Mrs. RCHS," Superintendent Hunter said as the boys started to sing and everyone cheered for us. "Shall we?" He asked me as he held his hand out for me to take it. I stood up and said, "We shall!" As I was grabbing his hand, I swear I felt a spark.
As we were dancing, we hear all of our friends and family cheering us on and we both started laughing a little bit. "You know, you look really beautiful tonight," Bruno said as we danced. "Thank you, and you look so handsome," I said as he spun me around. When we were dancing and he dipped me, something happened between us.
Bruno's POV:
When we were dancing and I dipped her, something happened between us. I lifted her back up to her feet and she said the three words that I've been longing for her to say, "I love you, Bruno." After she was about to say something else, I kissed her in front of all of our friends, family, and some people who we don't even know as they cheered for us. "I love you too, babygirl. I've been in love with you for a long time now and I didn't know if you felt the same way about me. Jennifer, you are a beautiful, wonderful, talented woman and I wanna give you the key to my heart. Only if you're willing to give me the key to your heart," I said pulling away from her.As the song ended she hugged me and said, "I will give you the key to my heart as long as you promise to be gentle with it and don't break it." I looked her in the eyes and said, "I promise babygirl. I will never, ever break your heart." The only reason why she said that is because she has been through so many breakups that she has trust issues with guys, but not with me because I've been there for her to help her through them. "Will you be my date to the Homecoming dance?" I asked with hope in my heart and eyes. "Yes, Bruno," She said kissing my cheek. Looks like I'm gonna make Jennifer my girlfriend after this dance next week. Hopefully.
