Bruno's POV:
Do you ever wonder what you would do if a small little person can change your whole life? Because I knew that when I saw my little sister, Kaniyah. I was in my bedroom, writing some songs when Jamie started knocking on my door. "Hey, Jay," I said letting her inside. "Hey, Bruno. Listen, I need a favor," She said sitting down. "Sure, What's up?" I asked her. "You see, me and the girls were going out for the weekend to have some fun, but I forgot that I had Kaniyah with me," she said. The thing is that our Mother had died after Kaniyah was born, and we all decided to raise her ourselves. We all take turns taking care of her, and she is just a ray of joy and sunshine. "So you want me to watch her until you get back?" I asked her trying to understand why she's asking me this knowing that I love Kaniyah. She is like the girl version of me when I was little. "Yeah, just until I get back Monday. Please?" She asked me. "How old is she? Cause the last time I saw her she was 3," I said getting ready for her.
"Tomorrow is her birthday, so she will be 4 years old," she said as I faced her. "You, along with the rest of our sisters, are gonna just leave Kaniyah on her birthday and fucking party all night long!?" I yelled at her. "The girl already gave her their gifts. And, my gift is in process at the moment. Please just get her this weekend and make sure she has the best birthday ever for her?" She asked me. "Okay, I'll get her. But remember, you owe me," I said going to get Kaniyah's room ready.
I waited 15 minutes for Jamie and Kaniyah to show up, but I was already running late to the studio with the guys. So, I hopped in my car, and texted Jamie to meet me at my studio with Kaniyah. "Hey y'all," I said sitting down on the couch. "What's good, my nigga?" Phill said as the rest of the guys said hey. "Guess who I'm gonna have all weekend to myself?" I asked them.
"Alicia?" Kamren asked me.
"No, two more try's," I said smiling.
"Aisha?" Dwayne asked me.
"Nope. One more guess," I said grabbing my guitar.
"Some girl with 'isha' on the end of her name?" Jamareo asked me.
"Damn, y'all slow! It's Kaniyah!" I said as I felt two little arms around my right leg. "Brother Bru Bru!" Kaniyah said in her cute baby voice. "Hey, Niyah! How's my baby sister doing?" I asked while picking her up tickling her. Her laugh was so cute and innocent. "I'm staying with you for the weekend?" She asked me after she calmed down from me tickling her. I nodded and sent her in the booth with Eric.
"Here's her bag, and make sure she has the best birthday. Bye Y'all!" Jamie said she left. The second she left, Kaniyah said, "Let's have some fun with music!" We played all of Kaniyah's favorite songs that I wrote and some from other artists. She even sung her favorite song with me, "Grenade". It was about an hour later when Kaniyah fell asleep in my arms. "Hey, I'm gonna take her home and tomorrow, we all are gonna have a little get together for her birthday, Okay?" I asked the guys but they all said that they were busy so I had Kaniyah with me all weekend and on her birthday, too.
We were home, I put her in a onesie that matches mines, and we watched movies until her bedtime came. "Okay, Niyah? Do you know what tomorrow is?" I asked her while putting her to bed. "My birthday!" She said with excitement. "Yeah, and Brother Bruno has a special surprise for your special day tomorrow. Okay?" I asked looking at her. "Okay," She said almost sadly because she knows that everyone she knew wasn't coming over.
"Tomorrow is all about you, and we are going to do whatever you want to do, Okay?" I asked her while holding her hand. "Okay. Can you sing our song, BB?" She asked using the nickname she gave me. The song she's talking about is "Count On Me" because I wrote that song for her 3rd birthday. I came back with my acoustic guitar and sat down on her floor beside her bed.
