Love Can Kill Pt.1

Bruno's POV:
There she is.

The most beautiful girl in school. Her long brown hair, her soft plump lips, and her curves made her absolutely gorgeous.

You're probably wondering who I'm talking about. Why, I'm talking about the most popular and prettiest girl in school, Catherine Diaz. She's my chemistry partner and she pretty smart about almost everything. I mean sure she never noticed me, but I'm going to change that. She just broke up with her ex-boyfriend, Austin, and I'm gonna ask her to the homecoming dance. "H-Hey Catherine," I said as she was talking to her friends outside of the school since it's the end of the day. She didn't hear me and went to her car.

"Hey, Brunz!" Jennifer yelled from across the campus. "Hey Jay," I said all depressed. "Let me guess: Catherine?" She asked because Jennifer knows about my crush on Catherine. "Yep. Why won't she notice me?" I asked. "To be completely honest with you, she's way out of your league. If she doesn't see how much of a good guy you are then she's not worth it," she said as she got on her motorcycle. Jennifer and I have been best friends ever since kindergarten and she's kind of a wild card while I'm just an average guy. I did have a little crush on Jennifer, but I doubt that she liked me back, so I'm trying to move on.

"I guess, but I just wanna ask her to the dance," I said as Catherine speeds away in her car. "Can't we just skip the dance, sit at home, and eat a shit ton of pizza?" She said before putting her helmet on. "Maybe, If Catherine says no," I said as she rolled her eyes. "Here, and come on before I leave you," Jennifer said as she passed me a helmet and closing the visor. I put it on and got on the back of her motorcycle.

As she dropped me off at my house, I did my homework, ate some food, and went to bed. Hopefully, Catherine says yes.

The next day, I sat down beside Catherine in our chemistry class. "H-Hi Catherine," I said as she was working on. "Oh, Hi, Brian. Can you hand me that phosphate over there?" She asked completely getting my name wrong. "I-It's Bruno actually, and here," I said as I passed her the phosphate. It was about lunchtime and we were working on our project that's due at the end of the week. She was wearing her lab coat but not her glasses. I was trying to see what she was doing, but I accidentally bumped her arm and made her spill the whole beaker with phosphate into the concoction. And boom! The project blew up in her face, literally.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry, Catherine!" I said taking her to the eyewash station. At first, I thought she was going to scream at me, but when she looked at me her face softened and she smiled at me. "Oh, it's okay. Accidents happen, but did I ever tell you how incredibly cute you look when you're all flustered?" Catherine said as she started hugging me. "Um...." I said as she took off her coat. "Come on, new boyfriend! Let's go get lunch together," she said as she pulled us to the cafeteria.

Jennifer's POV:
I was in the cafeteria waiting on Bruno with Phill and Justin. "Hey, have you guys seen Bruno? He was supposed to be here by now," Justin ask us as we sat down. "Nope," Phill said as I looked at the cafeteria door. "I think I just found him, but what is he doing with Catherine?" I asked as both of the guys looked where I was looking. "What the hell," Phill said as Catherine kissed Bruno's cheek. "There's no way that she likes him, and look at Austin over there," Justin said as we looked at Austin and he was mad as hell.

"Let me find out what's going on," I said as went over to Bruno and Catherine. "Um, Hey, Bruno," I said as I want over to them. "Hey, bestie! Hey, you know Catherine right?" Bruno said looking happy as hell. "Hi, sweetie," Catherine said as she lays on Bruno's shoulder. Bruno looks so happy, and I couldn't tell him that he's making a big mistake. "Anyway, What's up?" Bruno asked me as I felt tears coming. "I just wanna to tell you guys that Austin is looking at you guys and he's mad as hell. That's all," I said as I ran to the bathroom. I can't believe that he chose her over me; his best friend since kindergarten.

Bruno's POV:
"Who was that, Babe?" Catherine asked as Jennifer went to the bathroom. "Jennifer, she's my childhood best friend. And to be honest, I used to love her with all of my heart," I said. "Really?" She asked curiously. "Yeah, But we're like brother and sister now," I said grabbing an apple. "Excuse me, I'll be right back," Catherine said leaving.

Jennifer's POV:
I just need to set through the rest of the day. I put some water on my face to get rid of the tears. And when I dried my face off, Catherine was behind me in the mirror. "Oh, hey Catherine," I said as she walked towards me. I saw that she had red eyes, and smiled devilishly at me. "Hey, Jennifer," She said crossing her arms.

"I know," she said grabbing my arm. "Know what?" I said trying to get out of her grip. "I know that you are in love with my Brubear!" She yelled pushing me out of the bathroom and towards the hallway walls. "Ow!" I said out of pain. "Now, I'm gonna make sure that you don't try to take him," Catherine said as she repeatedly punched me over and over again until I blacked out.
