Chapter Eleven - I'm Your Alpha Now

We all glance at each other wondering what the heck just happened. I blinked a few times as a new feeling started to seep into me.

I looked at Amelia. "Do you feel that?"

Her face was one of pure horror. "Do you think...?"

"What's going on?" Alexander asks as bends over Beatrice, checking if she's okay. Part of me gets annoyed at the action. What use is she when she's awake anyway?

The warm feeling that we got when we first came here disappeared and in its place, dread and destruction was left in its place.

"It's that guy, wasn't it?" Amelia asks me.

I nod hesitantly. "I think so. He looked like a light fae, but not so much that it was noticeable."

Amelia nods thoughtfully. "I've never heard of or read of a power like that."

"Me neither." I say back.

"I'm going to put her in the plane and then we go meet the Pack and get my parents out of their cells." Alexander says and I looked at him then back at Beatrice.

"Or you could just leave her there." I say under my breath but he hears me any and laugh.

"Uh guys." Amelia says. "I think the pack has come to visit us."

I immediately look to where she's looking and see fifteen guys walking to us. Warriors.

I look at Alexander warily, wondering if he is going to say something or not. He appears frozen.

"Where's our Alpha?" One says accusingly and I frown at the protectiveness in his tone.

"You mean the crazy bastard that ruthlessly took over this pack by killing dozens of wolves and locking the Alpha and his family in the dungeon?" I glare at him.

He steps forward the same time I do. "And what do you know about anything, you filthy dark fae?"

My eyes widen when I notice that he is the only one that didn't appear shocked at the news. He didn't even miss a beat.

"So you knew that your rightful Alpha was locked up and mistreated and you did nothing?" I say, completely appalled.

"What happens in this pack, is none of your concern." He says, his brown eyes and brown hair ordinary. "Get the fuck off our territory."

I look at Alexander who still seems frozen on the stop and I realize what the problem is. He wanted the Beta position. He knew nothing about being the Alpha.

I glare at the guy then. "It may not be any of my concern, but it is his." I say gesturing to Alexander.

"How is it any of his concern?" He says. "He can fuck right off too. Before we make you."

"You dare speak to your Alpha like that?" I glare at him. Watching as their eyes widen. "That's right. This is Alexander Greywood. Greg's son. Heir to the Alpha title."

"No." The guy says in denial. "I don't understand."

"You keep running your mouth, so you wouldn't." I glare at him, before going over to Alexander.

"Hey." I say, stepping into his line of sight. "You got this. Your family is counting on you."

He snaps out of his trance at the mention of his family and his eyes focus on me. "Okay."

"How do we even know you're telling the truth?" The guy says. "I mean --"

A deafening growl cuts him off and I smile in pride when I realize it came from Alexander. He looks shocked at first but he sends me one last look before turning away from Beatrice and glancing at the guys.

"I am your Alpha now!" Alexander says, authority dripping off his words. "And you will treat me as such until Greg is back on his feet. As for those who knew about my parents capture will be dealt with severely. Now, take me to the dungeons!"

I resist the urge to clap for him as they all stare dumbfounded before dropping to the ground one by one in submission. Alexander looks like his tearing up but he hardens his expression before anyone notices.

"Yes Alpha." They all say in unison.

Alexander looks at me and I grin at me. "Does this mean we can leave her here now?"

He sends me a points look and I sigh. "Can one of you put this hoe in a room?"

"Hailey!" He stares at me wide eyes as Amelia chuckles.

"Sorry." I say as I walk in the direction they all walking in. Though I really don't sound sorry at all.

We walk for a while through grass and trees before we see any structures. The people see us and peer curiously as we pass through. I see children running and playing with each other.

There so many people in this pack.

We go pass all of the buildings, into trees again before we come to a single structure. It looks simple enough but when we open the door, a staircase goes down instead of up.

Alexander pauses and grip his arm.

"I can't do this." He says, walking away.

"Could you guys please give me the keys and give us a moment?" I take a deep breath and turn to the warrior. "Inform the rest of the pack about what going on and tell them their Alpha will be addressing them soon."

Someone comes over and they hand me the keys before sending a last glance our way and leaving us.

"Come on Alexander." I say. "Amelia and I are right here with you."

"You go get them out." He says. "I can't face them."

"Yes you can." Amelia says. "You have to. You've never forgive yourself if you're not the one to do this. We'll be right there."

I send a grateful glance Amelia's way as Alexander takes a deep breath. "Okay. Let's do it."

I hand him the keys as he walks ahead of us and I grab Amelia's hand as we follow him.

The darkness of the place give me the keeps.

At the bottom of the staircase is another door and beyond it, the cells.

I shiver as we step through, cries and screaming filling our ears.

"Who's there?" Comes a voice. It's weak but a recognise it anyway. I immediately grasp Alexander's arm.

"It's her." I tell him.

He freezes for a second as I point out the cell I remember from the vision.

"You'll be right here?" He says.

I nod, squeezing his arm. "We'll be right here."

We watch as he hesitantly goes over and unlocks the cell and pushes it open.

"Mom?"
