Chapter 19

George's POV

Don't you dare lay your filthy hands on my girl" I brawled.

"I don't think there's a banner on her indicating your ownership" Felix replied. He really had some nerves.

"Don't you dare me" I warned and turned only to find out that Catherine had left. I ran out and I was lucky to see her walking away.

"Catherine" I called and hastened my steps to catch up with her.

"Catherine" I called again and tried to hold her hand.

"Don't. You. Dare" she said each word rolling from her mouth.

"Catherine am so..."

"Shut up George!, don't you dare tell me you are sorry because am not injured. If you were expecting me to jump on you because you became a hero then I think you need a doctor" she said visibly pissed off.

She tried walking away but I blocked her.

"Catherine please, I....gosh....am sorry for not believing you" I apologized. I then realized that I had messed up big time.

"I thought you were different, I thought I could always count on you. George you doubted me,you don't even trust me and you don't even have respect for my feelings. You are a beast" Catherine said placing so much emphasis on the last word.

This time, she shoved me aside and walked away and I stood like a lost puppy.

Later on in class,I couldn't concentrate, we had religion and the sight of Catherine made me more sad. She totally ignored me and smiled with people like nothing ever happened.

Natasha's POV

What the hell is wrong with these two people? George looked sad always and as for Catherine, she totally shunned George and many times I heard stifled sobs from her room.

"Come in,the door is open" George said almost in a whisper.

I came into his room, well arranged as usual, he was sitting on his bed with his phone. I sat beside him and he looked up from his phone and fixed his eyes on me.

"What's up bro" I said and he nodded.

"What's the problem George?" I asked him.

"Nothing"

"George" I called him and he sighed.

"Just issues with Catherine" George replied.

"But you caused it"

"I know, you don't have to rub it on my face" he replied and I sneered.

"So what are you gonna do?" I asked him.

"I don't know,she's been ignoring me,she refused to listen to me or my apology and I don't blame her, I really messed things up" George admitted.

"You really need to learn how to trust your loved ones" I admonished.

"But they hurt you sometimes" George said.

"That doesn't mean everyone is the same" I said and patted him.

"So what about Caro?" I asked him. " I heard she's the new chick "

"Never,God forbid, I only used her to make Catherine jealous, she's not my type at all. She can disturb, she's clingy, loud and she wants to get laid,mehn,I can't oh".

I laughed as George explained Caro's behavior.

" I will be in my room" I said and walked away".  I think I have a plan, am such a genius.

Catherine's POV

I missed George, I really do. His smiles,the moments he sneaks into my room and his mum almost caught him once.

I was laying on my bed, chatting,when a message came in from Natasha.

Meet me downstairs at that empty room,I want to show you something. Be fast oh.

I was wondering what Natasha wanted to show me so badly and so dressed in a loosed trouser and an oversize shirt, I headed towards the room and opened it, the place was dark and I began to wonder if Natasha was alright. Just then,the door opened and someone walked in.

"Natasha, is that you?" I asked. The lights were switched on and I saw George, he was wearing only a singlet and shorts.

"Hey Catherine" he said. He was looking so innocent.

"Hi,just came to find Natasha"

"Same here" he said and an awkward silence ensued.

"I will just get going" I said walking towards the door,I was melting under his gaze and I really just had to go.

"Catherine" his voice stopped me and I turned to face him.

"Am really sorry, sorry for not believing you,sorry for being a beast, I know sorry can't heal the pains but I miss you Catherine, a lot." His voice was so penetrating and I felt weak.

"But why George? Why did you hurt me?" I asked.

"Am so sorry, I wasn't in my right senses I guess" he said and I chuckled.

"Yup,you weren't" I said and I saw a glint of happiness in his eyes.

"So am I  forgiven?" He asked.

"Lemme think" I paused "yup".
He hugged me and we both laughed.

"So what do you want?"

"N5,000 recharge card" I said chuckling.

Its not my fault,he asked me and I told him.
