Its lunch time now and I decided yo apologize to Emily and Abigail. They're my best friends and they care about me. I shouldn't have even gotten mad at them. I found them sitting at our table so I took a deep breath and walked over to them.
"Hey guys." I said while sitting down across from them. They didn't say anything. I sighed. "Guys I'm really sorry I stormed out on the both of you and Jace this morning. I shouldn't have gotten upset. Its just that... Jason scares me a little. I don't want to know what would happen if he knows that I'm telling people what he did." I stopped talking mid-way through. I didn't even notice my head was down until I looked up when Emily and Abigail both sighed.
"Its okay Jade. We should've put ourselves in your shoes. A vampire who is probably really dangerous is trying to tell you what to do and is hurting you." Abigail sounded worried. I looked at Emily but she still didn't say anything. I sighed again.
"Emily, I'm sorry. I wad just scared about what would happen." She sighed again.
"Its fine I guess... I'm just worried about you and you're not going anything to protect yourself."
"What can I do? If I tell an adult, they won't believe me. No one knows vampires exist except us 3"
"Jason seems extremely dangerous Emily. From what Jade has told us." Abigail added.
"I know I know. You guys know how protective I get over the both of you." Emily looked down and shook her head. Abigail wrapped her arm around Emily's shoulder trying to comfort her.
"I know Daisy and thats not a bad thing. I'm glad you're protective over us. I'm sure Peach is too." Abigail nodded. I got up from where I was sitting and sat in between the both of them pulling them close tk me hugging them. "I love you guys."
"We love you too dork." Emily said laughing after. Me and Abigail laughed too. Just then, Jace came up to us.
"Awww. Sister moment!" We all laughed and he sat down across from us.
"Where were you?" I asked him. His smile faded away and he got serious.
"I had to make a phone call." I think I know who he called.
"You called Jason didnt you?" He didn't say anything. Yep. He called Jason.
"I had to. He hurt you and that pisses me off." I sighed.
"Well what did you say?"
"I told him to stay away from you." I just stared at him.
"Well I don't believe hell actually listen so and Abigail are spending the rest of this week at Jade's house." Emily said pointing her finger in the air.
"I can't. My mom is kicking my dad out the house so I'm forced to pack his stuff with him." Abigail sounded really upset.
"You're moving out with him?" I asked worried.
"No. But my dad has too much stuff in the house that he asked me to help and it might take all this week."
"Damn. I'm really sorry Peach." Emily reached across from behind me and patted Abigail on the back.
"Its okay. He's not that great of a dad anyways." All of us got quiet. No one knew what to say. Not even Emily. It was like this for the rest of lunch.
Well its the end of the day now and me, Emily, and Jace are walking to my house. We already said bye to Abigail before she took off. Surprisingly we didn't run into Jason. I don't know if that's because he knows I have friends with me or he's just too busy to deal with me. We eventually get to my house and before me and Emily were about to go inside, Jace said he wanted to talk to me. I give Emily my key and she went inside my house.
"What's up?" I saw Jace smiling at me.
"I just wanted to say thank you."
"For what?" I tilted my head in confusion.
"Hanging out with me. I thought you were only going to talk to me about the project and no other time. I honestly don't even talk to anyone else except you and your friends at school." I smiled and grabbed a strand of my hair and twirled it around my finger.
"Its nothing really. I just enjoy making friends whenever I have the chance."
"I'm just worried about you now because of Jason. He loves taking things I have that he doesn't."
"What do you mean?"
"You're an amazing person and I've known only you for two weeks already. He wants to have you for himself." I wasn't sure what to say so I stayed silent. Jace just sighed. "I'm sorry. I just don't want to lose anyone else to him. I've lost so many valuable things and people because of him." I pulled Jace in for a hug wrapping my arms around him. I guess that caught him off guard for a bit but he hugged me back. I started to feel my heart beat faster but I wasn't sure why. A part of me didn't want this hug to end but it did. Sadly.
"I should head home now. See you later Jade." Jace started walking away.
"Bye Jace!" I smiled and ran into my house and straight to my room. I walked in to Emily already on my computer playing some game. I rolled my eyes and laid on my bed.
My mom is usually pretty chill when it comes to having a friend over. Girls to be specific. Guys... Not so much. But my mom knows Emily and Abigail and sometimes they call my mom their mom. I don't mind though actually cause I see them as my sisters.
But besides that, a few hours goes by and its already midnight. And to my surprise me and Emily are wide awake watching a movie in the living room. My parents left for a few hours cause they were gonna go out to a club or whatever so me and Emily had the house to ourselves till about 4 or 5 in the morning.
It gets to around 2 o'clock and Emily is sleeping already with her head resting on my shoulder. I got up and laid Emily down to get up to get something to drink but then I heard some noises from upstairs. I turned around and saw Emily still sleeping so I decided to wake her up.
"Em. Wake up." I lightly shook her. She doesn't really like being forced away. In a harsh way that is. She slowly started to wake up.
"Mmmmmm I was trying to sleep."
"I know I'm sorry. But I think I heard something from upstairs. Can you come check it out with me?"
"It was probably the house settling or something." She turned the other way having her back towards me. Ugh.
"Fine but if I scream or I'm not down within 10 minutes, please come check on me."
"Yeah yeah." I immediately heard Emily snoring. How tired is she jeez. Anyways I went upstairs and hear some faint noises coming from my room. I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALREADY!!
I slowly opened my door and walked inside. It was pitch black dark in my room so it was a bit hard for my eyes to adjust.
"Hello?" I asked. Once my eyes adjusted I saw a figure standing in the middle on my room. They lifted their left arm and the lights came on. I quickly covered my eyes cause that really hurt my eyes. Once I was able to open them, the figure was right in front of me.
"Jason?!?"
