Chapter 13

I tried calming Jace down but it wasn't working. I've never been the best at relaxing people so what I was doing wasn't helping.

"Do you remember anything before he did that to you?" He asked Emily looked really worried.

"Honestly no. All I remember was telling him to get off of Jade then waking up on the floor."

"What?" He stared at her in shock. He does not want to hear this so I had to interrupt Emily before she said anything.

"Nothing Jace. Just please..." He cut me off.

"Hold on Jade. What do you mean Emily?"

"Well when I walked into Jade's room he was pinning her on her bed." Everything went silent. I put my head down but then Jace Immediately grabbed my shoulders and I quickly looked up at him.

"He didnt hurt you did he?" He looked me in the eyes.

"I promise he didn't. But he kept warning me to stay away from you. Which I'm obviously not going to listen to him." Jace sighed.

"I'm gonna have to talk to him after school." Jace let go of me.

"No Jace. He'll probably come to me again. Or he might hurt you. I don't want that." Jace didnt say anything. Just then, Vanessa came over to us looking extremely pissed. She grabbed my arm and started pulling me away from everyone.

She took me the bathroom and pushed me against the wall. Hard.

"What the hell?!" I looked at her. And her eyes were bloodshot.

"You lied to me!" Vanessa shouted.

"What are you talking about?"

"You said I could have Derek."

"Yeah I know. How does that make me a liar?"

"Dont play dumb." She took a step closer to me.

"I'm not playing dumb. How does me saying that make me a liar?"

"So you dating him doesnt ring a bell?" Excuse me...what?!

"I'm not dating him."

"Oh sure you aren't. He's been trying to push himself onto you and he's constantly pushing me away. He's ignoring me and it's because of you." She kept walking towards me. I couldn't go anywhere.

"I'm not into him Vanessa. You know that."

"Oh really? Then how come I was told he's been going over to your house and you two would constantly make out in your bedroom?"

"I don't know who you heard that from but whoever told you is a liar. Me and Derek are not a thing. And we never will be." She stopped walking and just stared at me. It was silent for a few minutes then Emily and Abigail came busting into the bathroom.

"What the hell is going on?" Emily asked looking back and forth between me and Vanessa. Vanessa didn't say anything and I wasn't sure if I should even say anything either. "Well?"

"I was told that this little bitch right here is dating Derek." Vanessa pointed right at me. I looked at Emily and her hands were balled into fists.

"What did you just call her?" Emily looked down at the ground. I could see her body physically shaking in anger.

"Calm down Em its ok." Abigail wrapped her arms around Emily trying to calm her down.

"Yeah, it's ok Emily. I've dealt with way worse anyways." I looked at Emily then at Vanessa. She walked up to me and was right in my face.

"You better stay away from him or I'll make your life a living hell. You got that?"

"I've been trying to avoid him ever since you guys dated. He's the one coming onto me." I pushed Vanessa away from me. She stared at me in shock for a moment then stormed out the bathroom. I walked over to Emily and hugged her. After a few minutes, she hugged me back calming down. She gets ticked off easily when people call me names. Mainly because of being bullied a lot when I was younger. But the main question in my head was who told her that stuff about me and Derek. 

Anyways the day goes by and when it gets to after school, I try to find Derek immediately.  I kind of left Jace, Emily, and Abigail but I texted Emily saying to wait for me while I tried finding someone. She asked who but I didn't tell her. I found Derek sitting at a bench by himself. I stopped walking once I saw him. I took a deep breath and continued walking towards him. When he noticed me, he smiled and stood up in front of me.

"Oh you came back. Couldn't get enough of me?" UGH...

No. I needed to ask you something."

"Oh. Well what is it sweetheart?"

"Don't call me that. But whose been telling Vanessa me and you are a thing?"

"I don't know. But you don't wanna be with me?" He wrapped his arm around my waist. I tried pushing him off but he just held me tighter.

"No I don't. And let go of me." He obviously didn't listen to me.

"But I wanna be with you. Why not give me a chance?" I kept trying to push him off me but that didn't work. Then I heard someone shout from behind me.

"You fucking liar!" Derek let go of me and I turned around to see Vanessa staring at me and Derek. And I saw Jason standing right next to her... Smirking. What the hell?! She walked up to both of us with her hands balled into fists. I quickly took out my phone and called Emily then put my phone back into my pocket.

"You told me you and him weren't a thing." Jason was now standing about 3 feet behind Vanessa.

"We aren't a thing. Are you blind or something? I tried pushing him off me." Vanessa then pushed me making me almost fall to the ground. I really don't want to get into a fight right now.

"I saw it with my own eyes. You and him were kissing."

"No we weren't!"

"Then what were you two doing? Because I'm clearly the stupid one."

"Yes you are because I was trying to see if he knew who was telling you that me and him were a  couple. Which we aren't. But I can see now that he told you." Vanessa pushed me again. Just then Emily, Jace, and Abigail came running up to the 4 of us. As soon as Jace and Jason made eye contact, I could see Jace get extremely angry to where he might beat the shit out of Jason.
