Chapter 44

After about 15 minutes of cuddling with Jace, I noticed he fell asleep. His messy black hair covered pretty much all of his face. It was adorable. I slowly moved out of his arms and got out of my bed. I took my phone out of my pocket and saw that I had messages from Abigail, Emily, Brandon, and Derek in our group chat.

Em💖: you guys safe?

Peach🍑: you two made it home right?

White😂: guys..?

Derek: they're probably fucking or something.

Peach🍑: I wouldn't be surprised

Em💖: Of course you'd think that 😒

Derek: sorry... I just thought they would've by now

Em💖: I just want to make sure they're ok

White😂: so do we

Jj💀: we're fine guys. We were just cuddling for a bit.. my mom thought we were about to and he started laughing 😒

Peach🍑: you guys totally should. Just make sure to use protecting, please! We shouldn't have to worry about a baby while worrying about murderous vampires trying to get us

Jj💀: we're not having sex... just tell your parents about our plan and I'll mine about it.

Em💖: already did. My mom didn't believe me at first but I told her how I've been out a lot and why I didn't come home until really late that night and explained everything else to her pretty much.

Peach🍑: I told my mom too. She doesn't care... so I'll have to room in with one of you guys.

White😂: Damn... I'm sorry Abby.

Peach🍑: it's fine. What about you Brandon?

White😂: my parents don't really believe it. Well, my mom does but not my dad doesn't. He thinks it's all bullshit then my parents started arguing about it. And my dad questioned why I was home so early so I tried explaining it to him and he just got even more pissed.

Derek: Just introduce him to Jace or have him watch the news

Em💖: You do realize it just aired live so it won't go back right?

Derek: I can rewind my t.v and record the screen and show him. And we can introduce Jace to your dad. Maybe that'll help.

White😂: That might work. But then he might start going off on Jace.

Peach🍑: We'll tell him he's Jade's boyfriend. It won't be that bad hopefully.

I set my phone down and left my room to look for my parents. I went into their room and they were sitting on their bed talking. I didn't get what they were talking about and I wanted to ask but I pushed that aside. I'll just ask another time.

"Hey uh... Mom. Dad?"

"Yes, sweetie?" My mom faced me and looked at me worried. I'm not surprised at this point.

"I don't remember if this has been talked about before... my mind is still trying to process everything that's happened so, I wanted to ask if we could possibly move to... another state." They both were silent. I slightly started to panic so I kept talking. "I know the first time you mentioned me moving to a new school, I didn't exactly react the best way but that was because I didn't think things would get this bad. I realized how dangerous it is for me, you guys, and my friends to stay here knowing we're being hunted so Emily had the idea of moving to a new state. And if it's okay, maybe Abigail can move in with us since her mom won't be coming with her... You guys know how her mom is..." They both nodded. Abigail's mom isn't really the best kind of mom. To me... and Emily... and my family, she's pretty much the worst. She never really cared about what Abigail did if she was at the house or even at their house.

Her dad was really the only person she felt like she could talk to at home if me and/or Emily weren't available. We never found out why he was kicked out of the house and we never brought it up since we didn't want to upset her. I'm sure when the time comes, we'll all be able to sit down and talk about it. Just now obviously isn't the time.

"It'll take a while for everyone to pack everything Jade. And we have to register you out of school. We might not be out of this place until next month maybe." My dad got up and walked over to me placing his hand on the side of my arm.

"Then me, Jace, and our other friends will stay here and pack things up. And we'll go to their houses and help them pack. We're willing to do anything to stay away from Xavier and Jason." My dad looked over at my mom and she nodded. He then looked back at me.

"We'll start everything tomorrow. How does that sound?" My eyes lit up and I smiled with happiness as I hugged my dad. When I let go, I ran straight to my mom and hugged her.

"Thank you." I went back up into my room and saw Jace sitting up on my bed going through my phone. When he looked up at me he started to pout.

"So you don't want to have sex with me?" He smirked a little after asking that question and my face instantly heated up. I rushed over to him to grab my phone but he moved his arm away and grabbed my wrist. "Abigail's right. We should try it. Your mom did say there were some spare condoms around." He raised an eyebrow at me while still smirking.

"Not the time Jace. We need to start getting ready for tomorrow. I'm having everyone come here to help pack everything. We're hopefully moving by next month." I smiled and grabbed my phone from Jace's hand.

Jj💀: Come to my place tomorrow at around 9 a.m. I need help packing 

White😂: bet

Peach🍑: Aye-aye captain

Em💖: sweet

Derek: You got it boss

Jj💀: She won't have sex with me :(

Peach🍑: Hi Jace!

Em💖: When did you become so horny all of a sudden?

Jj💀: it's been a while... leave me alone

Derek: You've had sex already? You dirty dog. Or vampire... whatever

"You've done it before? With who?" I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow at Jace. I slowly started to feel jealousy fill my body and I tried my hardest to keep myself in check.

"Months ago... With Victoria when I was with her... Can we please not talk about it? On the bright side, I have experience so I'll know what I'm doing to make sure you'll feel like you're in heaven." He winked at me and my jealousy was immediately replaced with embarrassment. I quickly turned away and hid my face because I'm pretty sure it was visibly pink at this point. I heard Jace laugh and he got up from my bed and hugged me from behind.

"I love you so much." He said before moving some of my hair out of my face and kissing my neck then my cheek.
