When we reached school, my sister was already at the doors. She noticed Derek and looked at him with disgust. Once we met up with her at the doors; she grabbed my arm and pulled me away from everyone else.

"What the hell is Derek doing around you?" She asked staring into my eyes intensely. I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"He's helping us if that didn't look obvious to you already." I crossed my arms.

"With what/ I doubt whatever shit you've got going on has anything to do with him."

"It does but it doesn't. He doesn't know everything but he's our only source of protection at the moment." I tried to walk away but May grabbed me by my arm and pulled me back to her.

"What about me? Or mom and dad? Anywhere but around that sick pervert." We should file a restraining order against him. He..." I cut her off.

"I'm trying to protect my family! And no I'm not doing that to him. He's helping whether you like it or not." I yelled. There was silence between us for a bit before I walked away and back to everyone else. I heard her mumble something under her breath but she followed.

"Let's just go inside and get Brandon. I'm getting paranoid just standing out here." Abigail said anxiously. I nodded my head and walked inside the school building. When we all got inside, the first thing we noticed was a student being shoved and pinned up against the wall. We quickly realized it was Brandon.

"Hey!" Abigail shouted. She pushed past all of us and walked up to the boy harassing Brandon. The boy let go of Brandon and faced us. Brandon ran and hid behind all of us.

"The hell do you want?" The boy asked in a low and deep voice. Emily stepped forward.

"The hell are you doing with our friend?" She raised her voice.

"That's none of your damn business little girl." Abigail and I tensed up. If someone called Emily a 'little girl', they're fucked unless we stopped her. Emily grabbed the boy by the collar of his shirt and shoved him against the wall.

"DON'T call me a little... girl... Understand? Because the next time you do, I'll cut off your fucking tongue." I was about to reach out to Emily and calm her down but she let go of the boy and stepped away while putting her hands in her jacket pocket.

"Tch. Whatever." The boy scoffed and started to walk away. He stood in front of me and looked me up and down before looking at me and smirking. He began walking away again and I felt a shiver of disgust run down my back. I felt someone rub my back and that caused me to jump a little but when I found out it was Jace, I was able to calm down.

"Where were you guys earlier?" He heard Brandon ask. We all turned around to face him. "I was pretty much sitting alone in the cafeteria this morning."

"We're not staying. And neither are you. But before anything, who..." I was cut off by a loud demanding voice.

"What are you all doing outside of class?" It was the principle. I mentally whacked myself then looked at everyone else. They were looking at May.

"T-these 5 are with me." May pointed to all of us except Brandon. "I'm here to sign him out." She then pointed to Brandon. The principle had a suspicious look throughout his entire face.

"Are a parent or legal guardian?"

"She's my older sister. I live with her and her roommate." I blurted out. The principle looked back and forth between me and May. Yes, she may be older, but we do have similar features such as our freckles, green eyes, and poofy black hair. The principle's face relaxed and he sighed.

"Alright come with me so she can sign you out."

"I need to get my stuff from class." Brandon quickly ran down the hall and the rest of us went to the office. The principle went into his office and a lady was sitting at the desk in front of us working on her computer.

"How can I help you?" The lady asked looking at May.

"We're here to pick up a student. He just needs to get his stuff from class." May smiled nervously and chuckled a bit.

"He knows you're here?" The lady asked and May nodded. "What's his name?"

"Brandon." Abigail blurted out.

"Last name?" We all looked around at each other. I never realized we didn't know his last name after knowing him for some time. Strange. Brandon then bursted into the office and we all looked at him. "Are you Brandon?" Brandon nodded and walked up to the desk. "Last name?"

"White." Emily, Abigail, and I almost busted out laughing which caused Brandon to turn around and squint at the three of us. We all left school after signing Brandon out.  We said bye to my sister since she drove here and even though it's not safe for just the rest of us to walk to Derek's house, I don't want Xavier to meet my sister or parents by any means. It's better that way in my opinion. Anyways, I completely forgot what happened while we were in the office until Brandon stood in front of Me, Abigail, and Emily and started shouting.

"What's so funny about my last name huh?" We all stopped dead in our tracks and the three of us started laughing hysterically. Brandon grunted.

"It's just so... basic." Emily said in between laughs. "Brandon White." She said in a deep voice. "Are your parents rich or something?"

"No!" Brandon yelled. "My mom's side is though..." He muttered but we still heard him and started laughing again. "Whatever. Where are we going anyways?"

"My house." Derek answered and Brandon had a confused look on his face. I sighed and walked up next to Brandon.

"We don't know where Xavier is so his house is our best bet to stay safe. Technically yours is too but he's never seen Derek so it'll be easier that way." Brandon nodded and we continued to walk. When reached Derek's house, we all went inside and into his room. Brandon leaned against a wall and Abigail stood next to him. Emily sat on Derek's bed, Derek sat on his desk chair, and me and Jace stood by Derek's bed.

"So why have this meeting now?" Brandon asked still confused by what exactly was going on. I sighed before clearing my throat and taking a small step forward. I began to speak.

"I'm going to be moving to a different school." Everyone gasped in shock and Emily and Abigail looked worried. "Before all the questions and stuff, I'm telling everyone now because I was hoping you guys could ask your parents to let you move schools as well. We can't keep going to that school knowing a dangerous vampire is possibly roaming around looking for us."

"There's no way they'll believe us." Abigail mentioned. It took me a second to think of something that would help and then it hit me.

"We can have Jace prove he's a vampire. We'll tell them he's not a bad one since he's in a relationship and we'll tell them about the two that tried to kill us." Brandon was about to say something until a phone started to ring. It was mine. I took it out of my pocket and saw that my mom was calling me. I quickly answered the phone.

"Hey mom. You alright?" I asked immediately.

"Yes dear I'm alright. Where are you?" She asked worriedly.

"I'm at Derek's house. Jace, Emily and Abigail are here with me too." I heard my mom sign in relief.

"Okay. Well if there's a tv nearby, turn it on and go to the news channel. I think there's something you should see." I didn't hang up the phone. I looked at Derek and told him to turn the tv on and go to the news and he did. Jason was on the screen and all of us except Derek froze in shock. "Oh. My. God."
