My Vampire Crush

Chapter 14

"I was just trying to tell Vanessa the truth." Jason had a devilish smirk on his face.

"What truth?! Derek and I  are not a thing.  And we never will be!" I shouted. People started crowding around all of us.

"I thought you liked Derek." Jason tilted his head to the side still smirking.

"I used to. He and Vanessa both know that."

"I saw you two kissing just now you whore!" Vanessa pushed me once again this time I fell to the ground. Abigail quickly ran over to me and helped me up. Emily then grabbed Vanessa by the hair and pulled her away from me making her fall to the ground. 

"You better not call her that again or you'll end up in the hospital." Emily threatened. Vanessa got up and stared at me. Now even more people came over and started forming a circle around us. I'm really not liking this...

"Look, Vanessa, I don't want to fight you. I don't have feelings for Derek I promise you that. And I can promise you that me and him didn't kiss. I don't know how you saw that." Me and Vanessa both turned our heads to look at Derek.

"I wouldn't mind a kiss from you, to be honest." He looked at me winked.

"Are you serious right now Derek?  What about us?" Vanessa walked up to Derek and pushed him. 

"I feel like I'm on an episode of Jerry Springer." Abigail whispered to me. I tried to hold back a laugh. 

"I'm sorry Vanessa. You were great and all but when I think about it, Jade is way hotter than you. And a lot more fun to be around. And is the hard to get type. Which I really like." Derek looked at me licking his lips and winking at me at the same time.

"You're disgusting." Me, Emily, and Abigail all said at the same time. Vanessa slapped Derek then ran off crying. Then I walked up to him and slapped him.

"She loves you asshole. Just take the hint that I don't like you anymore and leave me alone." Me, Jace, Emily, and Abigail all walked off leaving Jason and Derek by themselves.

We all got to my house and we're sitting in my living room. We have two couches so me and Jace are sitting next to each other and Emily and Abigail are sitting next to each other. I sighed and put my face in my hands while my elbows rested on my legs. Jace rubbed my back trying to calm me down. Today just isn't my day right now.

"Are you gonna be ok J?" Abigail asked. I nodded then looked at her.

"I'll be fine. Just today was too much for me to handle."

"I was so close to knocking Vanessa out I swear to god." Emily was really angry. I could tell cause if we were in a cartoon, smoke would physically come from her ears.

"She's just upset that Derek is trying to get with me and..." Emily cut me off.

"She's trying to fight you over some pervert who can't keep it in his pants." Just then a black smokey cloud appeared in the middle of my living room. And before I knew it, Jason was in my living room.

"Why hello my good friends. I couldn't help but overhear your conversation and thought I should drop by." He looked directly at me but I quickly looked away. Then Jace stood up.

"What are you doing here?"

"Well I've tried my hardest to have Jade stay away from you but she can't quite seem to listen. You should know what I can do to her Jace." I stood up and looked at Jace.

"What is he talking about?"

"Nothing Jade. He doesn't know what he's talking about."

"Oh, I don't? Then how about I invite Victoria over." Jace immediately snapped once Jason said that.

"Don't you dare bring her here. She has nothing to do with this and neither does Jade." 

"Who's Victoria?" I asked looking back and forth between Jace and Jason.

"Oh, just an old friend of ours. She was just like you. A mortal who got too involved with Jace's life. Lucky for him, I didn't kill her. Just turned her into one of us." Jason looked at me holding up his right hand like he was about to snap.

"She went through hell because of you Jason! Don't put Jade through the same thing." Jace stood in front of me as if he was trying to protect me.

"Then keep her out of your life. Simple as that." Jason took a step closer to Jace. Emily then got up and stood in Jason's face.

"You aren't gonna do anything to Jade. If you hurt her again, I'll kill you."

"You, her, and your little blonde friend over there are all useless mortals. And so was Victoria. So Jade better leave Jace now or I'll make her life hell. Way worse than Vanessa threatened." He stared at Emily deep into her eyes with an evil smirk on his face. She quickly looked away.

"How do you know she said that to me?" I looked at Jason and he looked back at me.

"I have my ways of getting information." Jace pushed Jason causing him to lose his balance and almost falling to the floor.

"I swear to God Jason just leave Jade alone. Why can't I have a normal life with normal people without you ruining it?"

"Because you're not normal Jace. You're a vampire. And you can barely control yourself around humans when you're hungry. For all we know, you could randomly just feed off of Jade and possibly kill her."

"I would never! I know how to control myself. Maybe if you actually paid attention to what's going on in my life instead of trying to screw it up, you would notice." Everything went silent. Before I knew it, Jason was holding me by my arm and everyone else was standing in front of me. What the hell is going on? I'm getting very uncomfortable.

"Let go of her Jason or else." Jace started getting angry. I'm honestly starting to get scared for what's about to happen.

"Or else what?" Jason chuckled after asking that and a black smoke started forming around us. My vision started to get blurry then I instantly passed out.
