This happened while I was watching the live stream too.
So that guy, during his stream, talked about his girlfriend a lot. Which was fine, it was actually really sweet the way he talked about her.
But his girlfriend's name is my dead name, so every time he said her name, I was like completely caught off guard and felt weird.
I left a comment like "everytime I hear your girlfriends name, I get thrown off guard cuz that's my dead name oof lmao"
And he was like "omg (reads comment) sorry dude, the same thing happens to me, like whenever I hear my dead name I get so thrown off"
And like I wonder if I'm always going to think that. Even when I'm completely used to being called Tyler, and everyone calls me Tyler, if I hear my dead name (even if it's someone else with that name) will I realize it and get thrown off? Or will it just not register that it used to be my name? I dont know, but hopefully I just dont think about it in the future 😂 just memory wipe the fact that it used to be my name, so I dont get shook every time I hear it lmao
