Legolas pulled Alannah by the hand through the forests, leaving Oryn and Aragorn back home to discuss the plan once they were to depart.

"Where are we going?" Alannah laughed as Legolas looked behind her, a joyous and innocent smile flashing across his face.

"Somewhere beautiful meleth nin. Come." He responded as he guided her further and further away from home. It wasn't long before the sound of water could be heard in the distance, and Alannah became all the more curious. Suddenly they were standing in front of a large waterfall pouring itself into a small blue pool. The secret oasis was breathtaking as Alannah took in its majesty, and wondered how she had never stumbled across it herself.

"I discovered it only a few weeks ago. I've been meaning to bring you here, just the two of us. This will be the last moment we have alone before we leave, so I decided now would be a good time." Legolas explained as he pulled off his boots. He jumped back in surprise when he watched Alannah run from behind him and jump into the water, leaving her dress on the ground behind her. Legolas quickly undressed and jumped in to join her, opening his eyes in the watery depths in attempt to find his wife. Warm hands wrapped around his torso from behind and he quickly turned, smiling when he was met with her green eyes.

The couple rose to the surface and immediately locked lips, their connection always having been like magnets that could never be pulled apart. Legolas blinked off the water drops clinging to his lashes as he looked at his wife, still finding himself in awe of her.

"Were you aware that I didn't fall in love with you just once all those years ago?" He asked as he kept his arm wrapped protectively around her waist, keeping them both afloat. Alannah shook her head, giggling as the water from her long hair splashed into his face. She tenderly wiped them away, her heart leaping as his blue eyes bore into hers.

"No?' She asked, feeling the seriousness in his gaze.

"No. It was never confined to one moment. Not during our first target practice with the fellowship, or our first kiss, our betrothal, our wedding, or even the birth of our son." Legolas confessed. "I fall in love with you every time I look at you. Every moment we've ever shared together, I have fallen in love with you every single time."

Alannah leaned into his warm and familiar body, clinging to him and wishing never to have to let go. To never be separated by time or distance.

"Make love to me hervenn nin." She whispered into his ear. Legolas made quick work to swim them beneath the waterfall and onto the wet rocks, knowing the water was the perfect curtain for their union. The wet, mineral smell of the rock he pressed her against bloomed into a mirrored taste in her mouth. Involuntarily, she traced her lips with her tongue as he hovered over her, perfectly positioned between her thighs. She expected him to move, to talk, to do something, but instead he just held her in his arms against the hard, damp ground until she became feverish with expectation. Slowly he caressed her wet body ever so slightly with such a feather light touch, at times she was unsure herself if his hand was making contact with her skin. Finally, he leaned down to kiss her, raising the heat between them that one would believe it be enough to dry them. Alannah took him by surprise when she guided his member into her, unable to wait another moment to be connected to him in the way reserved only for the two of them. He let out a loud gasp at the sudden pleasure before his face settled into a soft smile. Soon, they were desperate for each other as their entire bodies curved into each other's as they rocked in unison, their gasps and moans disguised behind the roaring sound of the waterfall.

Alannah watched with as she always did when Legolas and Oryn left to aid Aragorn in a battle, with a heavy heart and a troubled mind. She knew both of them to be formidable warriors, but for her that wasn't enough. Her mind kept going back all those years ago to the battle of Helm's Deep, the many elves that lost their lives that day, including Haldir. Her life had been long but all so short in the eyes of the elves, and even now, those dark days from the third age still haunted her memories at every mention of a battle or an altercation. And now that her bit of eternity had begun with Legolas and Oryn, the thought of losing either of them pierced her heart unlike any weapon a Uruk-hai could craft.
