Why?!

Kiba and I stared at the tree I painted.

"I think it needs more branches" Kiba recommended

"Yeah, maybe towards the bottom" I looked at Kiba he nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, and you should add another tree in the background" I could try.

"Alright" I smiled. This is not like us at all but art is important, we need to get on that field trip.

I got the paints out and started painting branches and adding another tree like Kiba said. I looked over at his desk he was painting a little puppy next to a house.

"Wow! That looks amazing Kiba" I looked at him and he squinted his eyes

"Really?" I wouldn't lie.

"Yeah!" He smiled and kept adding little brown spots to the puppy.

After the teacher told us to clean up we did, and we also stayed after a minute to clean whatever no one else did. We are good students. This teacher better know if we don't get picked it'll be war.

We walked out of the room and walked to the door like we were supposed to.

"Why are Sasuke and his friends there?" Kiba whispered.

"I don't know." Great this just turned into a awful day.

Shikamaru has his eyes closed as he leaned against the wall. Lee was talking to Choji.

"Why are you here?" I glared at Sasuke.

"I don't want you to mess up the project" that was his answer. That's not a very good one.

"I'm not going to mess up the project you're not even doing anything for it!"
Whatever doesn't matter Sasuke will probably just stand there and complain anyway.

"Let's just go Naruto" Shikamaru requested.

We all walked out of the school doors and onto the sidewalk to Shikamarus house.

Sasuke and his friends were walking behind us.
Kiba and I walked in front of Shikamaru and the other two. We turned around and started walking backwards.

"Shika!" I yelled, it aggravates Shikamaru so much.

"Shika!" Kiba yelled. I smiled at him.

"Shika, Shika!" We both yelled. Shikamaru is the piece that holds are friendship without Shikamaru we would be lost.

Shikamaru tired of hearing us call his name pushed us both. We fell backwards and laughed.

"My turn!" Lee shouted before jumping on us.
Shikamaru couldn't hold back his laughter anymore. We all laughed, though my chest and elbows hurt like a bitch.

I pushed Lee off me and Kiba he got up quickly and we continued our walk. I wonder what we're going to do at the park. I want to go on the trails and the snow is already starting to melt.

We finally reached Shikamarus house. Choji and him went inside while everyone else stood outside.
Sasuke, Neji and Gaara were talking to each other probably about us.

The front door opened and Shikamarus mom popped her head out.
"Hello Naruto and Kiba" we both waved and smiled. Shikamarus mom is so nice, and so is his dad the whole family is really smart.

"Hi!" We both shouted back.

"Are you cold? Want some cookies for a snack?" She called out. I looked over at Kiba

"We're not cold" I answered.

"I'll give Shikamaru some of the cookies" we both nodded.

"Thank you" our voices synced together and it definitely sounded louder than intended.

She smiled and went back side. Shortly after Shikamaru and Choji came outside. Shikamaru with the camera and Choji with the Cookies!

I turned my head to Kiba he looked at me. "Choji!"

Choji started running down the sidewalk towards the park with the cookies.
Kiba and I chased after him with everything we have. Why is he so fast?
