"Rashelle. We need to talk." I said as I stepped in to their house.

"January!" She exclaimed. "Haven't seen you in forever!"

Huh. Liz didnt tell her. Surprise surprise. I sat them both down and explained what happened slowly and respectfully.

"So..." I finished.

Rashelles jaw dropped to the floor as I read utter horror in her eyes.

"Lizabey you are grounded. Jan may we speak in private?"

"Sure" I said as Liz whimpered and Rashelle ordered her to her room.

"So?" She started.

"What do we do?"

"I don't know." I sighed.

"I hate being a sixteen year old snitch."

"No, no, what you did was important. Liz needs to realize her faith is important but she cannot abuse. God wouldn't want it that way."

I nodded.

"I'll talk to mom about this." She stood up.

"Thanks."

"No, thank you."

"Haha. See you later."

AJs P.O.V~~

My phone buzzed. 12:30 I read in my head, then quickly opened up the text.

"From: Papa.

Dear Adria, times are tough. Especially for our two families. I wanted to let you know as Brady's best friend that a tragic event has occurred. On 14/7/14, Brady has passed away in a tragic car accident..."

I didn't read the rest of the letter. Papa was Brady's dad, not mine, but I alway called him papa. I didn't know what to do. I lied. I did.

Sprinting into the washroom with tears free falling, I sent a text to Jan;

"Thanks for everything. Love you."

As I picked up the razor and brought it to my wrist.

Jan's POV

I was just down the hill getting and ice cream when I got a text from AJ. I read it, confused till I found a link she accidentally put in there. I read that to. "From papa..." I dropped my cone and ran faster then I ever had in my whole life.

When i reached AJs house I burst though the front door, AJs family staring at me in horror. But I didn't stop, I ran straight to the bathroom, as if some sort of pull was dragging me there.

"GET AWAY FROM THE DOOR!" I screamed as I brought back my fist and went straight through the solid wood door. Hm. I guess being a black belt in karate just paid off. I groped for the doorknob and unlocked it, ran in the room and tackled AJ. She tumbled to the floor, razor spinning away from her. I looked at her arms, horrified to see 14 red streaks on her arms.

"MIA! 911 NOW!" I yelled as AJs little sister ran to the landline. I looked back to see the whole family staring at us in awe. I then realized I was still on top of AJ. I blushed and rolled off, grabbing a facecloth and some gauze. I heard the screech of the ambulance from outside and watched as they carried her out on a stretcher.

"I'll go." I insisted and ran after the men and my best friend.
