Adria's POV

I was walking. I was literally walking. I was literally waking with one leg. It was an amazing feeling, to overcome that disability and walk with no leg.

"That's one small step for woman," I joked.

Jan smiled and pulled me into a tight hug. I then realized that it WAS jan. she came for me before I bled to death, and the ambulance took me to the hospital where they discovered my small start of lucemia before it was too late.

Jan tilted her head and lifted up my chin.

"You ok?"

"Yeah. I'm... I couldn't be more perfect."

"Sure?"

"YES!!" I said.

Jan's face settled.

"Adria." She paused.

"If you, i mean could, like... Nevermind."

"What?" I pressed.

She inhaled roughly.

"You know, I would've given you mine, my leg, I mean. But would you want that? Y'know, to have your leg again."

I paused. Not because I didn't know the answer, it was pretty obvious. But I've always been one for dramatic effects.

"Absolutely,"

"Not."

She shifted at my statement.

"I mean, sure it'll be difficult as crap sometimes but I want to see life in the way these people do. I certainly don't have it awful, I didn't have to have kimo therapy or anything. But it's just cool to me to see how people like this live. You get it though, right?"

"Yeah. Absolutely." She hummed. As a close friend of hers, I knew her secret passion to be blind. As much as one tries you can't never judge a person by their looks, or covers of books.

She wanted to see the world without actually seeing it. It was a cool thought.

I smiled and handed her my car keys. Just because she doesn't have a car doesn't mean she can't drive one.

Jan's POV

As I dropped off AJ, her family burst out the door and gathered her up in a loving hug. I had given her the keys and parked her car in the driveway.

I waved and made my way down the street to the bust stop when I saw a familiar face.

"Des!" I yell.

"Babe!" She replied.

I run over to her and kiss her cheek lightly.

"You're catching the H24 aswell?" I asked.

"Yup." As she popped the p.

"Mind if I join you?"

"My pleasure!" She laughed.

On the ride home we got the routine whispers and turning heads and death stares and mothers shielding their children's eyes and mothers shielding their children's eyes while whispering and turning their heads and giving us death glares. The usual.

We hopped out of the bus, kissed, and went our ways. A day in the life of a gay couple.
