Adria's POV

I ran. So fast, so hard. The figure was still following me, I could see the shadow just behind me, but every time I blinked it would disappear. Then I would look again and see it somewhere different. The dark night streets of the city flickered with the full light from broken street lamps and the rare headlights. I panted, and scanned around me. Nothing yet, but they were there. I knew it. I had gained the common feeling of this figure, I could always tell when it was around, the tingles were different, and I could smell salty metal. The end of the city was nearing, and I could see the forest arriving. I leapt into the trees, dodging and jumping over roots to escape the nearing grasp of the shadow. My vision closing in, my stamina was running out. I was panting hard, sweat pouring down my face almost as hard as my tears. I suddenly lost my footing, and tripped over a branch. I tumbled to the ground, my heart exploding out of my chest. The figure approached, and out of nowhere a gloved hand slid over my face, plunging me into blackness.

Jan's POV

I woke up, my raging headache starting to pass calmly. Memories came back slowly. I remembered that I had passed out on the bus, a whipping pain weaving through my forehead and eyes. I gasped in pain and clutched my eyes, the wringing sensation in my eyes spreading to my entire body. A hand rested on my shoulder and a tear fell on my face from another. My vision cleared, and I focused to see Kat standing above me in a familiar room. The hospital room.

I sipped a cup of tea as Kat explained to me that I had passed out on the bus just as she was boarding, so she yet again called 911.

"Seventh time this year?" She asked.

"I think it's only been four." I laughed.

"Oh, where's Adria?" I asked.

"Dunno, haven't seen her for a while." Kat replied.

We called her. Once. Twice. Four times. I was starting to get worried. Her parents didn't know, or her sister, or anyone. I knew something was up. I couldn't leave, they had to do some tests before I could leave. So that left trusty Kat.

I sent her off with a hug and a;

"If you don't find her, I'll kill you."
