The Fairy Village of Ratep Nap

After petting the dragon they continued their journey led by the dragon's instructions since he couldn't leave his post to show them the way. Following the narrow path, they reached a fascinating place, a village of a sort. The first thing they saw were huge trees that seemed to be strong and sturdy. High up on those trees were small houses. Since the trees were so enormous there was enough space for many houses. It turned out that it was the fairy village of Ratep Nap, the most diverse fairy village on the island. The houses were beautifully built and ranged from small and elegant looking ones to big and flashy ones. The trunks of the trees were crisscrossed with stairs whose purpose they couldn't understand since the fairies had the most beautiful wings which enabled them to fly into their houses. "Wow" was all Amber could think. The fairies are real I knew it! I have always felt it in my heart but now I know for sure!" Ignacio had a very difficult time accepting the undeniable truth, that magic was real. The reason for this was probably the fact that his rational mind couldn't grasp the concept of something so abstract and beautiful as magic. How can a man with such a sensible nature accept something so incredible? They all became believers once they encountered the dragon and the fairies. Was everything real? Every myth and every legend? Was every creature they have ever heard about also real?

While they pondered what that would mean for their future, for their lives, a fairy flew closer to them. She was ten centimeters tall and she was very charming. Long curly hair flowed freely down her back, and she had the strangest green eyes they had ever seen, as green as grass. Her hair was also of an unusual color which was sky blue that in the non-magical world could only be made by dyeing the hair. "Welcome, my dear friends," she said while her transparent heart-shaped wings flattered silently. "I am Telet, the queen of Ratep Nap." That fact was clear from her glowing blue crown. "I am very glad to meet you. We have been expecting you. I can't believe that you are finally here!" This statement confused them all. "You were expecting us?" Ignacio asked. "Of course, there is a prophecy about your coming. We just had to be reassured by Gondr that you were what we have been expecting. "Was the queen's answer. "Gondr?" asked Amber unable to curb her curiosity. "Why the dragon of course!" replied the queen with a gentle smile. "There will be time for conversation later on. First, we will bring you some food because no one can talk on an empty stomach. After that, you will find some clothes in that huge oak tree over there. We will speak again after you've replenished your energy."

Still stunned by the whole situation they silently obeyed. When they went to the oak tree, to their surprise they saw a door leading inside. The girls went in first and were astonished to find human clothing that was quite comfortable. They both got shorts, t-shirts, and coats which seemed strange, but they took them anyway. When they were done the guys entered the tree and found jeans, t-shirts, and coats although it was warm outside. Thinking that the fairies probably knew the climate of the island much better they took the coats with them. After they had some time to rest and some food in their bellies the queen decided it was time for some serious talk. So under the light of the moon, they started their conversation. "First of all," said the fairy queen "I want to tell you a few useful things. As you have already noticed this is an enchanted island and you will meet many magical creatures on your journey, good and bad. I will not tell you what lies ahead because it is up to you to write your own story and discover your own truths. I can tell you that your truths may differ and sometimes you might find yourself lost. If that happens, trust in your abilities and most importantly in the strength of your hearts and you will overcome all the obstacles. This island is full of wonders and mysteries and it is up to each one of you to decide which path you will take. Whether together or separate those paths will lead you to self-discovery and empowerment. Another thing that I can tell you is that half of this island is in the service of good and half is in the service of evil. However, you don't have to worry. We are all bound to obey the Island Treaty so no harm shall fall upon you. This treaty prevents anyone on this island from hurting another living creature on the island except for food and no creature here eats humans. Of course, I can't guarantee that the wild animals won't attack you but the journey ahead of you should mostly be safe. I will help you set out in the morning."

"Can't we stay here? Or can't we at least stay a bit longer?" Inquired Jade. "I am afraid that is not possible. You and Amber should know better than anyone how these magic journeys work. You have to fulfill your destiny so that you can move on to a greater level as spiritual beings. Before you ask, no I am not talking about religion. I am talking about self-fulfillment. It is about getting to know yourself so that you can better understand the world around you. You will be able to let go of social conventions and find out who you really are. I am talking about being free and enjoying every moment and in that freedom finding and embracing yourself. Now have some rest on these beds we made for you. They are made of leaves but they are very comfortable. They will also help you reintroduce yourself to Mother Nature because on this journey she will be your biggest ally if you embrace her. Good night and get some much-needed rest." "But" started Ignacio but the queen was already gone. "Well, I guess resting is a good idea". So they laid down on the improvised beds and despite all the excitements of the day they were soon fast asleep. The girls were on one side of the tree and the guys on the other, so they got the feeling of being in different rooms, and they had the best sleep they ever.
