"That's my friend bleeding out in front of my very eyes and there is nothing in the world we can do about it, to help him!
Why isn't this working!?
They always say putting pressure on the wound should stop the bleeding, but it looks like there is even more blood gushing out than it was a moment ago.

Oh, God no!
No, he can't die!
I can't go through this again! I can't lose another friend!

Even through my enormous fear, I can feel something odd happening.
There is this strange, warm feeling in my stomach that I can't really explain, but it feels good, so good in comparison with the harsh reality of the outside world.
Embracing that feeling feels invigorating and warm like I have been outside on the warm sun and soaked up its rays.

Hm, maybe if I can share this feeling with Ignacio it will help him feel better.
But what should I do?
Maybe I should make the feeling, the light, grow bigger and when it's big enough it will call out to Ignacio, it will bring him back to us.
I think it's expanding! I can feel it spreading through my whole body.
It's even reaching my toes!
This warmth is so wonderful! Ignacio will surely feel the same and that will keep him alive, wouldn't it?
Maybe I am being ridiculous, but this is a magical island. Anything is possible, isn't it?

Hm, what now?
I read something about sending positive energy to people, maybe this is similar.
Couldn't hurt to try, could it?" Royce thought.

So Royce tried to remember exactly what he read people did when they wanted to send positive energy or in his case the light that might call back to life.
He remembered them saying that he should imagine the person to whom he wanted to send the energy clearly.
So he did his best to imagine Ignacio as clearly as possible. His friends face became etched into Royce's eyelids. It was so clear that he felt he could reach out and touch the image that was created in his mind.

Not knowing what propelled him to do so, Ignacio started imagining a bright ball of light coming out from his heart.
It was made of pure white light, and he knew, without knowing how that he should pull all that warm energy he felt into it, to make it grow, expand until it filled his whole chest.
After that, he allowed the light to surround him, to form around him like a shield that would protect anyone from any harm.
He allowed it to become a part of who he is. Welcoming the energy seemed like the right thing to do, and he didn't question it.

As he allowed it to enter his heart and soul, it felt like he was welcoming back an old friend, a friend that had been absent for a very long time but for whom Ignacio still had a lot of warm feelings and good memories.

Then a small whisper at the back of his mind that he knew as his own, but ignored for years, his instinct, told him what to do next and for the first time in years he listened.
Focusing on the wound he started imagining what he wanted the ball of light to do, what he needed it to do.
He imagined the nasty looking wound clearly in his mind, and then he imagined it slowly closing up, muscles and tissues knitting back together, skin patching itself up until the only thing that was left was just a scar.
A scar that looked as if it were years old and not from a wound that was received just a few moments ago.
Focusing on it he did his best to infuse it with the appropriate emotions of healing and joy until he could feel the ball reflecting those emotions back to him.

That was when he knew that he was ready.
It felt like he had been struggling for hours, days, maybe even years but in reality, only a few seconds passed before he was ready for the next step.
Already he could see that something was happening, that he was on the right track.
There was dazzling light glowing from the palms of his hands, and he started feeling more hopeful than he felt from the moment he realized Ignacio had been hurt.

Since Royce had never done anything similar in his whole life and yet knew with the part of his mind that defied reason and logic, that he could do it, he decided to play it safe.
The easiest way to make sure that the light had the wanted effect or that it reached its intended target was to imagine the ball of light as being a tip of the spear.
When he was sure he visualized it perfectly he threw the spear of light towards Ignacio in a burst of blinding light as he let out a loud cry that he was unaware of and with the precision and poise that surprised even himself the spear hit Ignacio just the way he intended it.

At the same time, Royce imagined the light of love, healing and generally all positive emotions being absorbed by Ignacio's body, reaching every last cell in his body and making it healthy and strong.

He knew he could do it, but still, it surprised him that he could do it so well.
It was something that once you learned you never forgot, like riding a bicycle.
Only he couldn't remember ever being able to throw bright light spears around in the hopes of helping someone recover from their wounds.
He thought one would remember something as momentous as that, but finally let it go because it didn't matter, it was done.

As the light slowly disappeared, Royce stood there with hope in his heart and fear in his mind.
He couldn't figure out if that whole spectacle did anything or if it was just a nice fireworks display.
At the moment he did it, he believed in what he was doing completely, but now that it was over and done with, he let doubt and fear enter his heart once more.

A few seconds later Ignacio stirred slowly opening his eyes.
As soon as he became aware enough to remember where he was the last time he was awake he jumped up like lighting ready for a fight.
However, upon seeing stunned expressions on his friends' faces he relaxed seeing as they didn't seem to be in any kind of danger just in the state of shock.

"What happened?! Did we win?" were Ignacio's first words.
Although he was covered with blood it was obvious that he was no longer bleeding and the wound was nowhere to be seen.
As a matter of fact, he seemed as healthy as a horse, healthier than he had ever been.

Royce couldn't help but chuckle at the first words that his friend uttered. That was such an Ignacio thing to say and it made him so happy to have his crazy, often moody friend back.

Before anyone had the chance to answer his questions or say anything at all Amber ran towards Ignacio and threw herself against him with a force of a tornado.
Ignacio stumbled, and they almost fell to the ground but at the last second, he managed to balance them out and stay upright.
The strength of her hug was bone-crushing and Ignacio was very confused.
As far as he could remember she was annoyed with him and now there she was hugging him with a strength and joy that knew no bounds.

"Ouch!" He said no longer able to withstand the strong grip that she had on him.
The moment he said that she suddenly pulled back with fear in her eyes.
"Did I hurt you? I am so sorry! Didn't your wound heal?" She said babbling.
"Wound? You were just crushing me by hugging too tightly. I have no wounds, I am fine, I can't say the same for you, though." Ignacio said noticing her wound.
His tone was worried, and he wondered why no one had helped her sooner.
It wasn't until then that the adrenaline finally wore off and Amber could actually feel the pain coming from her wound.

"That's nothing, just a scratch." She said sitting slowly down on the ground.
She realized that if she didn't do, so she might fall down and that would be embarrassing.
Of course, it was a ridiculous thing to worry about, but she didn't want to embarrass herself in front of Ignacio.
She was more relieved than she thought possible to see him up and about, but her emotions were dulled since everything became veiled by pain and tiredness that took her body under its rule.

Seeing that she was more hurt than they anticipated and that the adrenaline and worry about Ignacio were the only things that kept her up for this long Royce set up to try to heal her the same way he healed Ignacio.

In the meantime, Jade was trying to deal with the worry about her friend by distracting herself and Ignacio by telling him what he had missed.
There was nothing they could do to help her, so she did her best to keep the worry at bay for her sake as well as Ignacio's.
