The Fairy Gift
When Royce woke up it was already late in the morning and the others were already awake. They were all staring at the village as if they were seeing it for the first time. "What?" Royce asked them. "Why are you all staring like that?" "I don't know Jade replied "I just can't believe it is all real! I really thought I was dreaming!" It seemed as if all four of them shared the same feeling. Amber thought to herself angrily::" I can't believe that I am one of those people that I hated the most in the movies, the ones who have a hard time believing that they are not dreaming all the magical things happening to them! And look at me now! I am struggling with the same problem!" "Well we may as well get the day started," Ignacio said and looked around for the queen. In that exact moment, she flew down from the tree and greeted them. "Good morning, my dear ones. Have you slept well?" "Yes, thank you. " Royce replied politely. "I am hoping that now you have seen enough magic to trust me. I hope that you will be ready to follow my instructions since that would help you greatly. Two different paths open up in front of you now and you should follow both of them." What do you mean? How can we follow two different paths?" asked Ignacio confused. "Well by splitting up, of course." She replied calmly. They all went silent upon hearing her words. That was the last thing they wanted to do. Although the guys and the girls didn't know each other very well they trusted one another, probably because they were humans, all the other creatures around them were... something else. They were the only normal, comforting things on the island. How could they trust anyone but their fellow humans? Even knowing how unfair that was to the fairies they still didn't trust them as implicitly as they started trusting each other. There was something there, a deeper connection they felt with each other that they still couldn't feel with the island and its inhabitants.
"Separating is always a bad idea. I can tell you that much!" Amber said. "I am aware that you have some preconceived notions about the world you lived in, but you must have realized by now that this is not the same world. Here, different sets of rules apply and everything differs greatly from your world." The queen tried to explain. "It still doesn't sound right, I agree with Amber, "Jade said. "Ah, my dear children, I don't think you realize what is at stake here. It may sound like one of those movie things you keep mentioning but your destiny and the destiny of both of our worlds depends on you, on the things you need to learn and do. "Oh, come on!" Amber said grudgingly. "Well, I guess I may as well tell you a part of the prophecy, the part which hopefully can't harm the future. She showed them four hidden pictures with the title "The Four Saviors of the Worlds." The pictures were of the four of them, and they were so astonishingly accurate that they all stood there speechless. What could they do? There was something telling them they should follow fairy's instructions even though they didn't understand them at all. Still, they were afraid that if they separated they would never see each other again. Although they have spent a short time as a group they felt a strong connection that they didn't want to break. As if reading their minds, and maybe she was as far as they knew. Telet said: "You shall see each other again. The girls will go one way to find their inner strength and the guys the other." She said as if in a trance. "This is a journey of self-knowledge, not a dangerous mission. It's something similar to training, training your souls to be their true selves. "
They thought about it shortly. Amber and Jade talked in quiet whispers and came to a conclusion that they had to go on. They had to see what would happen next. The guys were even less enthusiastic since they worried about the girls. Nevertheless, they were ready to embrace the adventure trusting the fairy's judgment of the journey being safe." We are in!" Jade and Ignacio said at the same time. They all started to laugh and it seemed to break the tension and made them feel like everything would be okay. "We must be crazy but what the hell!" Amber said. "Thank you, "said the queen." Now I will give you a parting gift and show you which ways to take. Fairies! The Gift!" As she said that, thousands of fairies flew around them throwing the shower of golden dust on them. "This is, as you may have guessed, flying dust." The queen said. "Try it out, and then we shall fill you up for the journey. But I have to warn you, it doesn't last for a long time, especially for humans. It resembles... Oh, how do you call those things...?"
"Batteries", Nip the smallest but the most energetic fairy said. "Oh, yes batteries. Now try it out, and then we will fill you up as if you were the batteries." The queen said smiling. "I am guessing happy thoughts get it started?" Amber asked. "Of course, what else could it be?" was the answer. After a few moments, Amber and Jade started floating gently. It was an amazing feeling, they were both excited and scared but most importantly they felt free. As if all the ties of human society fell away from them, and they could finally accept they were in another, freer world. They held each other's hands for fear of floating away but soon enough they were able to relax, and they started laughing excitedly. The guys seemed to be more composed as they floated around. Ignacio decided to see how strong the dust really was as he flew high enough to almost touch the clouds and back." Very well, now let us refill the magic dust and you should be on your way. "Then the fairies dusted them for a long time and finally the queen said." Now you are ready to go!"
