                                                The Long Journey

After some much-needed time spent in the sun and surrounded by flowers, by the beauty of life, Ignacio and Amber decided it was time to go on.

They weren't sure what their final destination was, but they sensed a strong pull emanating from a nearby mountain that they hadn't noticed before.

Having in mind that it didn't matter where they went, none of the places would be familiar to them, they decided to go towards the mountain. They were drawn towards it and they decided to obey.

The mountain was so far away from them that they had a feeling that they wouldn't reach it any time soon, but they set off towards it anyway.

The walk was at first spent in comfortable silence, neither of them had any idea how to behave in the presence of the other person. They were still two strangers trying to judge the other person's personality and what they might expect from them.

Another reason for the lack of conversation was the fact that Amber was preoccupied with worrying about what Ci Nada had told her.

She was wary of every shadow, and couldn't understand how Ignacio was undeterred by what had happened and the threat that Ci Nada had made.

"What was that back there? Why did you keep trying to antagonize an obviously evil being, with immense power?" She couldn't help but ask.

"That is none of your business!" He said irritation obvious in his voice.

"Well, I do think it's my business since you were putting both of our lives at risk!" Amber said annoyed with his flippant attitude.

After all, she did save their lives by convincing him to shut up, and there he was not showing enough decency to even explain his actions.

"I wasn't putting anyone's life at risk!" He yelled at her although he knew she was right.

It was obvious to both of them that even he didn't believe his words. What he did was risky and stupid, but he didn't want to explain himself to the girl he had just met.

After all, his personal life was personal, and she was rude in insisting on knowing his reasons.

Amber suddenly stopped walking and stubbornly raised her chin.

"You have two possibilities. Either you tell me what is going on or we can go our separate ways. I am not ready to risk my life for an ordinary jerk." She said with finality.

"What do you want me to tell you!?" Ignacio said as he stopped in his track.

"The truth would be nice," Amber answered.
