A few days pass.

The atmosphere in the mansion is tense.

Everyone seems frightened or worried about the Alphine Coven's upcoming attack. We've only hear reports of destruction.

Everyone has been training for days without
end. From dusk to dawn and dawn to dusk they are training, even in the sunlight.

With all this training routines and all the different classes kind of stuff I have to do, there hasn't been anytime to find my relative.

Normally when Lillith and I went to feed, we were the only ones at the dining table. Everyone else is either training or collecting weapons.

I've been struggling with my training, I'm not strong enough to defend myself yet.

Lillith makes me practice over and over but I just can't seem to get the hang of it. Even though I'm a weak vampire, I feel great and powerful. I also feel like someone important in this mansion, someone with a purpose.

"Again." Lillith says as she speedily throws another stake towards me what I'm suppose to catch.

I'm just too slow with my reactions.

I miss it every time.

"Again." Lillith says patiently as she picks up another stake.

With a lot of power, she darts it right at me, but this time I manage to catch, even with my weaker hand.

"Good!" Lillith calls, "Again."

"Lillith, how many times am I going to have to catch a huge toothpick?" I growl and impatiently tap my foot on the ground.

"You're not going to ask the werewolf that's going to try to kill you, how many times he is going to try and rip your head off, are you?"

She says and picks up the last few stakes on her pile.  I sigh and wait for her to throw it again, and again and again.

After a couple of more tries, I start catching the stakes more easily that before we started. Now every time I would catch it without batting an eye lid.

I actually start getting excited.

We finish off with Lillith and I picking up all of the stakes we've thrown around the garden. At least with the vamp run, we can get to things and do things quicker.

"I'm proud of you," Lillith says as she bends down and picks up a broken stake, "You're quite working into becoming one fine vampire, keep it up. Tomorrow we start with the attack strategies if I could put it that way."

Lillith pats me on my back and walks back to the mansion's entrance of the gardens.

I feel proud of myself and I walk with my head high.

"Lillith wait up!" I call and jog to her side, "I have just one more question."

She stops and looks me up and down, she nods her head in approval of my question.

"Who is my relative in the coven? I'd like to meet him, please."

"I'll be able to arrange that for you before feeding time. Meet me at your room at 22:00 pm and I'll find him and bring him along. I'm going to have to see Allison first, we need to do your final check up before-

Sirens starts screaming and red lights are flashing.

The gates fencing lights up.

The windows of the mansion flash red.

"Take your positions. Attack in progress." The intercom clearly says.

"We have to get to the inside of the mansion, now!" She says, grabbing my hand.
