Chapter Twenty-Five
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.”[1]
Bryar slowly woke up. The first things she noticed was that she definitely wasn’t in the Theatre anymore. She looked up and saw the night sky filled with stars. The air was quite cool as it nipped at her bare skin. Bryar slowly sat up and checked herself. Her head hurt terribly but for the rest she seemed fine. That’s when she noticed what she was wearing. It was not her Modern costume anymore. She was wearing a white dress that was made of the thinnest lace she had ever seen. Her bodice was covered in a white corset-like top. On the right side of the dress was an incredibly high slit that showed of most of her legs and she was wearing white stocking underneath with a lace trim. Her arms were covered by a ruffled white lace dressing gown that matched the dress perfectly. Her hair was down and hung in waves down her back.
When she looked around, she finally saw where she was. It was a pavilion. Bryar didn’t even know that their school had a pavilion. It had a big floor in the middle and a table at the back, which is what she was laying on. Around it was an arch like a roof which was held up by Greek like pillars. Everything was made out of white or grey marble but in the darkness it added quite an eerie chillness. Suddenly there was movement to her left and she immediately recognized the person.
Seth.
He walked right up to her and smiled when he noticed that she was awake.
“Good to see that our Bryar has joined us. How are you, sweetheart?”
Bryar felt her temper start to rise. “I am not your sweetheart.”
He laughed out loud.
“It’s such a shame that Jordan needs you, I would have love to spend more time with you.” Bryar felt her stomach roll. What did Jordan have to do with it? He walked away to where he came from and soon enough a lot more people appeared. Bryar tried to sit up but quickly realized something. She was bounded. Not tightly but she felt it pull when she moved a lot.
Seth came up to her again and trailed his finger long the table she was laying on. Bryar noticed that the guy with the Mohawk and the girl with the beautiful dyed red hair were there as well. In total there were ten people now, five girls and five guys.
“Such beauty…” Seth said as he raised his finger and trailed it along the outside of her leg. Bryar felt her cheeks flush and was also highly aware of how little she was actually wearing. She tried to grab some of the robe to pull it over her legs, but failed. Seth laughed.
“Don’t worry,” He said with a wink, “I’ve seen many girls wear less clothing than that.”
“Enough.” A loud voice thundered. Bryar looked towards the voice and saw the person she now knew who had kidnapped her.
“Jordan?” His golden eyes lit up as she spoke his name and a wolfish grin appeared.
“Good evening, beautiful.” She ignored the compliment.
“What am I doing here?” All of the people around her laughed.
“Well, isn’t that the question of the evening.” Jordan replied mysteriously. He walked towards her and tightened the ropes around her ankles and wrists.
“Hey! Let. Me. Go!” Bryar yelled, emphasizing every word.
“No!” Jordan roared, “I have let you roam free for long enough. I will have to say that you exceeded my expectations by far but I can’t have you figuring everything out when you are so close to the truth?” Bryar looked him in the eyes and in that second, he didn’t look human anymore.
