C H A P T E R 3 4 PART 1
ILIA'S POV
GINAGAMOT niya na ang sugat ko sa kamay nang tumunog ang phone nya.
"Si Atty. Halmen." Worries flashed through his face. I immediately cupped his cheeks and asured him things would be alright bago niya sagutin ang phone.
"Hello." He answered it and put it in loudspeaker.
"Chris. Man. Today was a hard trial. Dion was shouting her lungs out at the court...Man...Im so sorry for you..." Ani Atty. Halmen. He is a popular lawyer kaya pamilyar siya.
"God Halmen. Tell me things are alright."
"Chris... ITITIGIL NA NG KORTE ANG HEARING."
We both gasped. Napatayo si Chris sa tabi ko.Bumagsak ang mga balikat ni Chris.
"NO! HALMEN! DON'T LET THEM DISMISS THE CASE PARANG AWA MO NA!" Napasabunot sya sa sarili niya.
I covered my mouth in shock as I watch his desperation.
"HALMEN...PAPUNTA NA DYAN SI ANDY. DO EVERYTHING PLEASE! PLEASE!"
"Chris...please let me..." He turned off the loudspeaker. Hindi ko na nadinig ang sunod n sinabi ni Atty. Halmen. Lumayo si Chris sakin bitbit ang phone nya and sat at the other end of the room.
He was devastated. Halos pilasin ang puso ko habang nakikita syang ganon. I am scared... And after another minute of him talking with Atty. Halmen ay umiiyak na si Christoph.
Why?
Naiyak na rin ako upon seeing him cry.
He slowly went near me and suddenly hugged me. He dug his head on my shoulder and cry.
"Chris...Everything will be...okay. I will not leave you alone on this." I hugged him back. "I won't."

CHRIS was sleeping beside me and took as a chance to stare at him.
Hinawi ko ang ilang hibla ng buhok na nakaharang sa mukha niya.
My phone beeped.
"CONGRATULATIONS GIRL!!! HALIMAW KA!" It was a text from Tin.
I opened my viber app and messages starts to flood it.
"TOP 1 KAAAAA~!" Albie and Ann.
I gasped. Parang sinuntok ako sa dibdib sa nabasa ko.
I search it up and saw my list on the Topnotchers.
My tears started to flow.
I made it number 1.
"Chris..." I woke him up habang umiiyak. I hid my phone under the pillow.
Mabilis siyang bumangon. "W-why??" Napalinga siya atsaka sinilip ang luhaan kong mukha. "Why??? Tell me baby, what happened??" Alalang alala siya.
"C-Chris..." I cried. " May result na...I DID NOT MAKE IT. I FAILED."
Bumagsak ang mga balikat niya pero mabilis din syang tumindig.
"It's okay. It's just an exam." He cupped my face and wiped my tears.
"You can retake it. I will be there..."
"JOKE." I cut him.
Kumunot ang noo niya.
"WHAT!?" Inis niyang sabi. I laughed.
I showed him my phone
"SEE? TOP 1! ME! ILIA MONT...Hmmm!" His lips harshly crashed into mine. I knelt up and straddled him between my legs without cutting the kiss.
His hands started roaming on everypart of my body.
"You scared me! Congratulations!" He smiled as he looks up at me with teary eyes.
"I'm so proud of you." He smiled.
"I need to go back to Manila." I told him.
