ILIA'S POV
I was in the hospital's hallway walking back and forth as I wait for the surgery to end.
Isang team ng mga doktor ang pumasok sa loob.
All were geared up and ready for surgery. After a few minutes ay malakas na bumukas ang two way door ng operating room.
Nananakbo ang isa sa mga pumasok kanina.
I covered my mouth with my hand. "Ilia..." Hinawakan ako ni Andy at Sir Brian sa balikat.
"What's happening!?"
Nanakbo rin siyang bumalik na may bitbit na mga bag ng dugo at dalawang nursing aide.
I couldn't stop crying. Kasalanan ko to.
"Ilia!" I looked up to see my mom.
Umiiyak akong lumapit sa kaniya pero isang malutong na sampal ang sinalubong niya sakin.
"Ahh!" My sight almost turned black sa lakas niyon. Nasalo lang ako ni Andy kaya hindi ako nahulog.
"Umuwi ka." Mariin niyang sabi sakin. My hand is on my throbbing cheek. Umiling ako bilang protesta.
"I will stay here till he wakes up."
"Well then, Ms. HOME WRECKER, pag dumilat na yang adulterous lover mo, umuwi ka sa bahay para mag empake. DAHIL WALA AKONG ANAK NA KABIT!"
"Maaaa! Makinig ka muna!!" I begged her. "He's annulled! Gusto niyang magpakasal kami. Nagmamahalan kami. Kaya niyang gawim ang tama!! Dahil mahal na mahal namin ang- Ahh!" Another slap landed on my face this time I tasted blood in my mouth.
"HE ANNULLED HIS WIFE BECAUSE HE FOUND YOU! AND A MAN WHO MARRIES HIS MISTRESS LEAVES THAT POSITION OPEN!!!" (©oscarwilde)
"Mrs. Montero, please." Away ni Sir Brian sa kaniya.
"YOU GOT INVOLVED WITH A MARRIED MAN!!!! NAKAKADIRI KA!!! PARA KANG MAUUBUSAN NG LALAKI!!!" She spat at my face and sped off. My knees weakened as I cry with everything my mom has said.
I was crying so hard that whole waiting time. Andy and Sir Brian was both there trying to calm me down. My chest constricted and I suddenly felt light headed kaya dinala ako sa ER para lagyan ng suwero.
After that nagpumili na ulit akong maghintay sa OR. Nagmatigas ako. I need to be with him.
Maging ang mga sinabi ni Mama ay isinantabi ko. I need to be strong for him. Panay ang dasal ko na maging ligtas siya. There were so many blood. Naiyak akong muli nang maalala ko ang pagkakabagsak niya sakin kanina.

An hour later the doctors came out at sumunod si Chris na wala pa ring malay at naka oxygen tank.
"Hi. I am Khen Montecillo. I am the lead surgeon here." Inalis niya ang cap at mask niya. "Are you Ilia?" I was shock to know he knows me. Tumango ako.
"I-Is he.. Is he okay now? Please tell me nothing serious has happened."
"Pinsan ko si Chris. He is okay now. He is stable. He just lost a lot of blood but we have managed to save him don't worry. We are lucky, hindi tumama ang bubog sa spinal cord niya otherwise it would have lead him to a fatal condition."
"Oh God.." I wiped my tears. "When will he wake up?"
"Let's wait for just a few hours. Epekto lang yon ng sedation."
"Thank you, Doc. Thank you."
He touched me on my shoulder and said, "You can call me Khen. I have heard a lot about you."
"Umuwi ka muna. Puro dugo yang damit mo." Ani Sir Brian. "Ihahatid na kita."
"Hindi. Ako na mag hahatid sayo." Ani Andy. I smiled.
"I want to wait for him to wake up."
"Oo nga antayin natin magising si Boss." Pagka balimbing ni Andy.
"Ilia..just go home please. And rest. Pagod ka na it's almost midnight."
"No. I want to see him wake up." Nangingilid na naman ang mga luha ko. I brought this to him. Kasalanan ko.
I stood my ground and waited for hours.
Walang tulog o kain. I am waiting and praying patiently. Oh God please. Please.
His hand moved. I stood up beside him. Dahan dahan siyang dumilat. I immediately push the alarm button para sa mga nurses and they came in to assist him. Dumating rin si Khen after a while para iexamine siay. After all that saka lang ako naka lapit sakaniya...lumuluha na naman ako.
"I'm sorry I can't stop my tears." I apologized between sobs.
"Were you hurt?" Nanghihina niyang tanong. His hand caressed my cheek.
"No..." I answered weakly. "It should be me on that bed...
"I'm okay."He smiled.
"How could you be alright. Tignan mo nga."
"I am more than alright cause you're here." He smiled at me again. Muli akong naiyak. I lowered my head to gently hug him.
"Magpahinga ka na. You mist be tired." He told me.
"Sige na Ilia. Kagabi ka pa rito. Magpahinga ka muna. Akong bahala kay Chris." Ani Doc Khen who came back in his suit and white coat.
"I will give you a VVIP Pass para makapasok ka anytime." He handed me a badge pass for their VVIPs. "He must not see you like that. Please come back na nakapagpahinga ka."
I was finally convinced to go home.
I held Chris hand and promised him.. "I'll come back. Okay?"
"Please do." He answered.
I kissed him in the forehead as I take his hand.
"I will come back, Chris."
