I called Andy to come to Ilia and bring some of our security with him. I told Andy to report everything to the Village's security at sa mga kinauukulan.

In case, Carlos still comes back, may bantay siya sa labas ng bahay overnight.

I went back to the hotel's ballroom. Isang magarang pahabang table lang ang laman non at naka upo lahat ng kamag anak ko. Santidad usually have one heir per branch kaya kaming magpipinsan ang magkakalapit dahil wala naman kaming kapatid.

Mabilis akong sinalubong ng anak ko. Our members dressed him the same suit I am wearing kaya agaw atensyon kami sa mga kamag anak namin. He is exactly like the little me except the social skills he has and his smile. Kapag ngumingiti sya ay lumalabas ang dimples niya at kumikinang ang mga mata niya same as Ilia's...

"Where's Mommy???" I carried him up to me.

"Mommy cannot make it today tomorrow daw sya so she asks you to be a good boy." I faked a smile.

"But I am always a good boy." He pouted. I  chuckled as a response and kissed him.

"Yes, you are." Ani ko.

I let him play with his second cousin, Savannah who is about his same age. 

Emily and our Aunts were with the two kids. Kaming mga lalaking magpipinsan ay nauna nang pumunta sa hotspring ng hotel. We reserved it tonight.

Nakalublob na kami nang simulan ako ni Lance.

Umahon ako at tinignan ang phone ko. Andy texted that he called some staff from MMG, Khen's hospital, para ipagamot ang sugat ni Ilia. She had her ankle and shoulder blade injured and they needed to bring her to the hospital for an x-ray. Nanikip ang dibdib ko sa nabasa ko.

"What happened? Nag away ba kayo?" Ani Khen.

Fuck it's so hard to lie on my cousins. They have known me since forever and they know my gestures too well.

"N-No...I'm just... Fuck I don't know..."

"Worried kasi mag isa siya?" Marcus rejoined.

"Dapat kasi binuhat mo na parang sako. Some girls like that, hahampas hampasin ka pa kunwari kinikilig naman deep inside." Ani Lance.

Natawa si Khen at Marcus. Pinaningkitan ko ang mokong dahil sa real talk niya.

He is a tycoon and reads people. Walang sinoman ang makakatalo kay Lance pagdating sa pagdedeklara ng business and economic war.

He is good at reading his opponents, walang duda.

"Shut up. She's not some little girl."

"Chris, I know you still want her. Who agrees?" Lance.

Walang alinlangang nagtaas ng kamay ang dalawa ko pang pinsan na prenteng prente lang na nakasandal sa gilid.

"FUCK. STOP!" I finally spat. Uminit ang dugo ko bigla.
I shouldn't! Okay. It's gonna be the end of me kapag nagpa uto pa ko ulit sa kaniya.

"She was young and scared. Ano ka ba it was not easy..." Khen.

"At ako hindi ba ko natakot? YOU ALL THINK IT'S EASY TO GET AN ANNULMENT?"

"Hoy. We didn't say that. Ang sinasabi namin you still love her." Lance.

"AND I SHOULDN'T." Matigas kong sagot.

"You shouldn't but you do."

"I don't want to get hurt anymore." Pag amin ko.

"Alam mo ba according to the neuro studies in America, drinking painkillers decreases emotional pains too?" Ani Khen nonchalantly.

"You're not helping, Man." Suway ni Marcus. "Baka lumaklak to ng Tylenol." They all chuckled.

Tinignan ko silang lahat ng masama.

"Well, just trying to ease the tension." Khen shrugged.

Lance came nearer to me. "You are still hurt, Chris. Ba't hindi mo na lang yan gawing investment? Ang dami mo nang sakit na dinanas, sayang kung-"

"That's why I should stop!
TANGINA ANG DALI KASING SABIHIN NA AYOS LANG MASAKTAN DUROG NA DUROG NA KO BAKA MAMATAY NA KO PAG UMASA NA NAMAN AKO SA KANYA! ANG TIGAS NA NG PUSO KO. WALA NA SIYANG TINIRA PARA SA ISA PANG PAGKAKATAON." There I said it.

"I understand... Pero mas mahalaga ba ang galit mo kaysa sa kanya?" Ani Khen. It stopped me.

"I thought I have proven myself to her. Na hindi ko siya iiwan. Lahat ng problema, sasaluhin ko para sakaniya. She just have to tell me what was wrong!!

Isang sabi nya lang I will fix it. But no. She chose to run. Inakala nya ba na hindi ko kayang ayusin lahat!? She didn't have the confidence!!! Fuck.

Akala niyo ba bato lang ako!?" Angil ko sa mga pinsan kong nakatanga sakin.

Ang mahalaga nakikita ko ang anak ko.

"I understand her. When you are in fear of something a person's tendency is to curl into a ball and hide. She was crying so much noong dinala ka sa ospital dahil sa bubog sa batok mo.   I think she is a strong loving woman, Chris. She must have done that because she was blaming herself" Ani Khen.

Ilia's face a while ago flashed back at me when she shouted na hindi rin madali sa kaniya ang lahat.

"Hindi ko kaya yon kung sakin nangyari yon." Marcus said.

"She could have aborted the kid." Kinilabutan ako sa sinabi ni Lance. "Totoo. Imagine may bastardo ka galing sa isang kasadong lalaki.  You are the number one in the boars exam but you ruined every possible bright future for that mistake of loving that man. And you lost the spotlight.
Alam natin na sobrang hirap pumasa ng licensure exam. Mag top pa kaya? 5 years in the University. 7 months in review school. 2 weeks actual exam. Tas nag top ka, imbis na palakpakan ka, kinamuhian at pinandirihan ka? Man. I could imagine her grief."

Ibhad to admit I have never seen that side of story... Bumagsak ang mga balikat ko and that gesture threw Lance another conclusion.

"Chris... Hindi namin sinasabing mahalin mo na sya ukit at magpaka martir ka ulit. Pero wag mong pahirapan ang sarili mo sa galit." Hinawakan ako ni Khen sa balikat.

"Malaki rin ang nawala may Ilia with what Dion did. She was young and had just gotten out of the university. Isipin mo rin Chris... Wag mong patigasin ang puso mo. Alam ko mahal mo pa sya. Mahirap maging single parent. Parang sinisilihan ang pwet mo kapag umiiyak ang anak mo o kapag tinatanong ka nya kung nasan ang kabiyak mo. Man, take it from me." Ani Marcus na single Dad kay Savannah.

Saksi ako non kung paano siya mataranta noong nilagnat si Savannah.

"Ilia didn't come from a family of royal blood na kahit hindi magtrabahomaginhawang mabubuhay. She had to juggle working and being a mom I am sure. And to actually raise Eisen that way,matalino magalang at may compassion sa kapwa, she did a great job, Man. At least give her the respect for raising your child and not just aborting him or giving him away." Ani Lance.

"Man... Believe me, she was begging me to do the best I could para mailigtas ka noong araw na yon. She was crying and didn't sleep she didn't eat. Wag lang syang mapalayo sa tabi mo." Ani Khen.

Hindi ko na napigilan ang mga luha ko. I cried in front of them.
