Chaeyoung's POV

"Ahh, finally done."  I sighed, plopping on top of my newly assembled bed. I closed my eyes, relishing the peace and quiet- that was until I heard a loud crash next door.

I groaned.  Tomorrow I was going to start my 1st day in my new high school, and I had finally convinced my parents to allow me to live independently. It took a lot of begging, chores, and more begging. Apparently my determination worked in the end because here I am now, living in an apartment complex.

Crash! I continued to lay on my bed, and ignored the noise. It was none of my business anyway, but the noise continued and I stood up from my bed in annoyance. What could my dear neighbor be possibly doing at 1 in the morning? Although the same could be asked of me, but I was settling in, so I had a reason.

I reluctantly stood up from the comfort of my bed, and slipped on my baby pink bunny slippers.  Yes, baby pink is the superior color.  Fight me.

I opened the door to the hallway and glanced both ways.  It was dark.  What did you expect Chaeyoung?  It's 1 in the morning no duh.  Back in my youth, I've always been warned of stranger danger and to never walk out alone in the dark.  But you know what?  I'm going to rebel.  That's right, Park Chaeyoung is going to rebel and most likely regret it.

I tiptoed as fast and quietly as my bunny slippers would allow me to until I arrived in front of my neighbors' door.  Our doors' were only about 6 ft apart, but it felt like I was going on an adventure due to the darkness.  Now that I was here, I was starting to get nervous.  I'd completely forgotten that I was shy.... Especially with boys.

I gulped in realization.  What if my neighbor was a guy?  You're finally thinking this through, Chaeyoung?  Alright, let's be optimistic now my conscious, there's a 50/50 chance.  You're not very lucky. Wow, thanks self, great encouragement there.

Might as well knock right?  I won't be able to sleep with all that noise.

I knocked my knuckles gently on the door three times, and stood there patiently. No answer. I knocked once again, and the door opened to a disheveled guy who was in the middle of yawning. Well crap.
