Chaeyoung's POV
"Are you sure there's nothing going on with you and Jungkook?" Lisa asked as we made our way to our room, a mischievous glint within her eyes.
"I am one hundred percent sure!" I replied. Thump! Again. What was this feeling?
"Uh huh..." Lisa said not quite believing me, "Because every normal guy would buy a girl a meal and hot chocolate just because he felt like it."
"There's really nothing! He noticed that I was cold earlier so..." I countered before trailing off.
"All the more reason! That meant he was looking at you, meaning he's interested in you." Lisa stole a look at my face before running ahead, "Chaeyoung's blushing!"
"Yah, Lalisa!" I screamed after her, my face burning.
Lisa stopped and looked back at me, "Come on slow poke, I'll tell you everything you need to know on how to get a guy." She winked before running ahead once again, her breakfast still miraculously unharmed.
I felt my face burn even more. "I told you, there's nothing going on between us!"
-
"You're what?!" Jisoo and Jennie exclaimed, their eyes widening.
"Not so loud!" I scolded, a finger on my lips. I had decided to also tell Jisoo and Jennie that Jungkook and I were neighbors because of Lisa. She wouldn't stop teasing me about him, so the other two were confused.
"But this is some good tea!" Jisoo exclaimed, grabbing my shoulders, "Anything juicy?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows.
"As I said, nothing is going on between us. We're only neighbors and that's that." I said. Technically I wasn't lying, although I wasn't telling the whole truth. Who knows what'll happen if these three find out that rather than neighbors, we were living together.
"Soo, since Chaeyoung keeps denying it, let's change the subject!" Lisa said cheerfully, and I was about to protest, but Lisa talked again before I could do so. "What should we do? There's so many things here!"
Right after we settled into our dorms, we had a few hours to ourselves before we had to meet up with the class again at around three to tour the winter festival. I had decided to sleep the few hours through, so I didn't have to bother with Lisa's teasing...
After Lisa and I dressed ourselves, we had left to meet the class in the lobby. The teacher told us the time we had to get back (9 PM), and had let us go- and here we are now, standing in front of the winter festival of Jeju Island.
"Hmm...." Jisoo said as she looked around, and her eyes brightened when she saw something she liked, "I know! Let's go to that haunted house!" She pointed to the right where there was already a line of people waiting to go in.
Jennie had immediately shook her head, "Nope, I'm not going in. Nothing can convince me otherwise." To portay her unwillingness, she even went as far as to form an X with her arms.
Jisoo laughed wickedly before wrapping an arm around Jennie's shoulder, "Remember our deal last year when you forced me to go ziplining?" She smiled evilly, "Now is the time you repay your debt."
"I knew I shouldn't have forced you to do that... Ugh life's a bitch..." Jennie muttered under her breathe.
"Profanity unnie!" Lisa said, faking a gasp.
"Might as well swear all I want now because I know once I enter that haunted house, I will be soulless." Jennie said bitterly and I swear I saw her spirit leave her body.
"Stop being so dramatic, it's fake! It's nothing like ziplining where you can actually fall and die!" Jisoo said, slapping Jennie on the back.
Jennie sighed in defeat before staring listlessly at the haunted house, "Let's get this over with."
Lisa looked between Jisoo and Jennie before looking at me. "I'm fine with going in because I'm going with a group, but what about you Chae?" She asked before winking, "Or would you rather go with Jungkook?"
I felt my cheeks redden, "Nothing's going on between us!" I took a deep breathe to calm myself, "I'm not a huge fan of scary things, but since we're going in a group, I think I'll be fine... hopefully." I muttered the last part. Truth be told, I was deathly afraid of horror movies, but I wanted to make a memory with my new friends so I'll just suck it up this time around.
"Okay!" Lisa smiled, "And sorry about the teasing." She added.
"It's alright, but it would be really nice if you toned it down a bit," I replied, "I don't really want the whole school to know that Jungkook and I are neighbors."
Lisa nodded, "Promise!"
